Shadow P.O.V

I stared at my beautiful little mate as she frowned down at her laptop. I blew on her neck smirking internally as she shivered a soft moan slipping from her lips. Since that night at the waterfall the urge to mate had grown stronger and

stronger. I would have mated with her that night but Valentina and Luca had appeared from no where and ruined the

mood

Lena had been embarrassed to be caught in the position we’d been in by her brother but I’d just been disappointed

I didn’t want to rush her or anything but my wolf was becoming more and more impatient. If it wasn’t that we’d

already marked her I would have thrown her against the wall and finished it already.

I felt more wolf then human half the time but I wouldn’t let Lena know. I know she worried about me and I hated it. I

didn’t want her to worry about me when I should be the one taking care of her. I was blessed to have such a great mate.

She never protested when I pulled her into my lap or arms.

She seemed to understand my need to touch her.

After all those days being forced away from her. All those days were I was taunted by Claire that me and Alpha wasn’t

man enough to free himself. Wasn’t man enough to protect my mate.

I had nightmares constantly about losing her. About Claire torturing me and forcing Lena to watch.

Lena didn’t know about my nightmares and I was planing to keep it that way.

“Baby you alright?” Lena asked me kissing along my jaw. I tried to smile at her but I could tell I wasn’t doing very well by

the looking her eyes.

“I’m fine just thinking” I soothed laying my chin on her shoulder.

“Well stop thinking what ever your thinking and focus I need your opinion on this

I frowned slightly confused. I hadn’t been paying attention to what she’d been doing. I’d been paying attention to how cute she looked when she was concentrating. Like the way she nibbled on her lip or how she would play with hair.

I gave her a sheepish look earning a sigh from her pink lips.

“Like I told you early when you obliviously wern’t listening I wanted to get a puppy for Lilly since it’s her birthday next

Friday,”

I faintly remembered her mentioning the little girl’s birthday but then she’d started to change into her work out clothes and which I might add was torture. She would do that to me all the time. Start off with a causal conversation then suddenly start stripping and act like I wasn’t fighting my wolf from taking her right then and there.

“Oh uh—just a friend‘ she laughed nervously. My fist clenched when I saw the guilty look in her eyes.

Deciding to not push her at the moment I stood up and grabbed her hand “Come on lets go look at some puppies,

She smiled at me with relief and my wolf growled annoyed.

I tired to sooth my wolf with the fact that we trusted our mate. Yes……..I trusted her.

I swallowed my guilt and smiled at Shadow as he started the car.

I blushed lightly as I remembered the feel of his hands before my phone rang. We’d had alot of those moments lately and I was getting frustrated. I was so ready to finish our mating but he’d always back away when it was just me and him

at night.

Then I remembered the phone call.
