Chapter24
A brown haired man stepped froward and shook my hand. ‘Hey I’m your Uncle Clay’s mate‘ He blushed slightly making
Uncle Clay chuckle.
Uncle Adain ran a hand thorugh his hair. “My mate Sarah is home with the boys—your cousins, but I know she’ll be
excited to meet you‘
I smiled slightly and nodded.
Uncle Lee remained silent and after a moment I realised that he didn’t have the smell of a mated wolf.
Suddenly the sadness made since…..he still hadn’t found his mate. I felt pity well inside me. To be that age and still be
unmated, I’d feel hopeless and broken.
“Uncle Clay whats up!” Luca yelled giving our uncle a man hug.
Leo followed him along with Lilly and the girls.
Seven had a little belly now and used it to her advantage every moment she could. But at times when she pushed
Valentina to far, Valentina would call her a fat ninja and brag about her oh so sexy six pack. Luca’s words not mine.
Trust me I heard enough racy comments about Seven and Valentina then I ever thought, through our mind link I now
constantly blocked.
Lilly shrieked with laughter as Uncle Adain threw her up into the air.
‘Lena where’s your Shadow?” Seven cracked up at her own little joke but my wolf suddenly came in full force. I hunched over growling as my wolf demanded to be set free to find our mate.
I felt Leo’s hand on my arm but I snarled at him and jerked away.
I shook my head and forced my wolf down. “Sorry” I panted rolling my neck.
“Shadow and I….got into a disagreement and–” I swallowed hard rolled my shoulders my body tense with frustration. “he
left…I’m worried he’ll do something stupid.”
Uncle Lee’s eyes sparked with life. “Shadow…as in the alpha of the Blue Moon pack?”
Suddenly feeling shameful that I didn’t even know the name of my mate’s pack I looked down rubbing my arm. We
never really discussed his pack or anything relating to it.
“Yeah thats him‘ Luca answered for me holding Lilly on his hip.
“Damn his pack has been falling apart without him though their still the strongest in the country.” He said quietly a odd
look on his face.
I jumped as my phone started to ring. Quickly answering I cleared my throat. “Yes?”
It was silent for three beats before I heard familiar voice ‘Lena….damn I’m sorry. I don’t even know how he found me
swear I didn’t mean to do it!” Simon groaned.
I felt myself pale my body starting to tremble. I closed my eyes and shuddered out a breath.
“What did you do I whispered.
“I shot him–”
My phone slipped out of my hand and before it even touched the floor I was gone.
I ran and ran using all my emotions to push me harder and faster. My wolf was oddly quiet but claws pushed through
my skin, and fangs scarped against my lip.
Everything became a blur around me. I saw nothing, heard nothing. My wolf pushed to take over and with little resistant
I let her.
I blinked and frowned confused. A wheezing noise had my head snapping forward. My eyes widen dramatically as I
realized I held Simon against a wall his face turning blue.
Instantly I released him making him fall to the ground coughing loudly.
I looked around not recognizing the room I was in. After a moment of looking around I realised it was a……..cottage?
What the hell.
I couldn’t remember how I got here. The last thing I remembered was being in my bedroom and kissing Shadow.
Simon pushed to his feet still coughing and glared at me.
“What the hell Lena you didn’t even give me a chance to explain” Simon rasped.
I frowned at him and ran a hand through my hair. “I—I don’t know what happened, why am I here?”
“What do you remember?” He asked grimacing as he rubbed his throat.
For some reason I didn’t feel guilty for hurting him.
‘I remember being with Shadow then…”
