Book2 Chapter30

I sat down on the bed and cradled Blaze against me his breathing deeper now signaling that he’d fallen asleep.

I knew Shadow would be furious if he knew I had Shadow with me but I didn’t care. Once my wolf claimed Blaze it went against everything in me to turn him away. In the eyes of my wolf and our law Blaze was now my child. Not even Shadow could argue that.

I ran my fingers through Blaze curls focusing all my attention on him and not on Shadow’s words.

‘I heard everything” My uncle sighed.

I knew he was talking about Shadow and in answer I closed my eyes pressing my lips to Blaze’s head.

“He didn’t mean anything he said Little Rose he was just scared”

Scared of what? He didn’t look scared to me one bit when he tore my heart out.

What was I still doing here anyways.

Blaze whimpered in my arms and then I knew. I couldn’t leave Blaze from what I had gathered earlier,and by their

simalir features Amber was Blaze’s biological mother and their was no way in hell I was leaving Blaze to her evil clutches.

Obviously Shadow let her talk to Blaze any way she wanted. Something I wouldn’t allow.

‘I don’t want to talk about him Uncle” I whispered softly.

He sighed and moved forward kissing my forehead. “Rest little one I’ll make sure Shadow leaves you alone”

I gave him a thankful look and sighed sadly as he closed the door behind him. Laying down I placed Blaze on the bed and

curled around him protectively.

As my eyes fluttered closed eyes and I prayed I had the strength to face Shadow with little as emotions as possible. As

much as I wanted to leave and forget everything including Shadow, Blaze needed me.

I jerked up right growling loudly as the door was slammed open. Shadow growled loudly his eyes blazing. My eyes

narrowed when I spotted Amber behind him.

I glared at Shadow a part of me screaming in pain.

‘Give Blaze back now!” He demanded

I growled low in my chest and gently curled my arm around Blaze as he whimpered in fear, now awake.

‘Blaze come here now” Shadow ordered lowly

Blaze whimpered and clung to me tightly.

“No I want to stay with mommy!” He yelled.

Shadow’s eyes widen in shock his back straighting. Amber’s eyes flared with rage.

“He’s my child you can’t have him!” She shrieked.

I snarled loudly and she backed up slightly wary.

“How dare you! You care nothing for him and you made that quite clear. I don’t care if Shadow has no problem with you

talking that why to Blaze but I’ll snap your neck in a second”

She paled greatly at my flat tone.

Shadow frowned. “What are you talking about Lena”

I ignored him and picked Blaze up stalking out the room but before I made it down the hallway Shadow grabbed my

arm and jerked me around.

I glared at him and opened my mouth to ask him what the hell he was doing, when he suddenly slammed his mouth on

mine his hand gripping my waist hard.

I was helpless as he devoured my mouth taking everything and asking for none of it.

Tears welled in my eyes and soon the taste of my tears mingled in the kiss.

Shadow pulled back and stared at me with an unreadable expression. Then without a word he spun and walked away.

Amber glared at me from the other end of the hallway. “You’ll pay she hissed.

I turned around and walked away my thoughts and feelings even more mixed up the before.

Shadow tells me he basically didn’t want me in his life because I’d screwed it up. Then he kisses me in a way that makes

me thinks he still loves me.

I found my uncle and he hugged me tightly understanding shining in his eyes.

Blaze wanted me to watch him play with his friends and that’s exactly what I did my mind to numb to do anything else.

Lee POV

I watched my niece stare blankly into space.

I growled softly and walked inside the pack house searching out the Alpha’s scent. I found him in his office

I slammed the door shut behind me causing his head to snap up. I wasn’t surprised to see the hagged look on his face or the pain in his eyes. He’d caused his mate great pain and his wolf had to be punishing him for it.
