Book2 Chapter31
Sighing I sat beside him placing a hand on his shoulder. “You need to talk to her before she runs. She’ll stay as long as
she’s able to for Blaze but what you told her…you played on her fears and now she doubts her self. You hurt her worse
then anybody will ever be able to. Fix it before you lose your mate forever.”
With a pat to his shoulder I got up and left my own wolf whimpering as I remembered the sight of Lena Rose’s face.
I had no mate so I had no idea what she had to be feeling but the empty feeling that consumed me constantly had to be
similar to what she had been experinceing. That wasn’t something I’d wish on anyone.
When I was younger I loved being a player. I enjoyed my freedom and all the girls I could get. Then one by one my
brothers found their mates leaving me to myself. I should have found her by now but I hadn’t. The only possible
solutions I could come up with were she had found someone else before finding me and had a family. The other only
possible reason was…..she was dead.
I liked to think of my unknown mate happy and in love with many children. I wanted her to be happy where ever she
was even if it wasn’t with me. I swallowed hard and went back outside to stay with Lena Rose. Emma had pleaded with
me to watch over Lena afraid something would happen.
Even though he didn’t say it I knew Luke was scared of Lena being out of their home too. They had had such little time
to know her only for her to be gone again. They were scared she’d be gone forever without any warning.
It was no chore to watch over Lena seeing as I loved and cared for her as much as any of us did. I had held her once
when she’d been a baby and I had always cherished that moment when ever my family morned her.
I looked up to see her still form her hands limp in her lap.
She was still staring blankly into space and I sighed hoping her idiot mate would fix this soon. I woulnd’t allow my baby
sister to lose her daughter again.
Blaze POV
My cousin Sammy laughed and helped me up as I fell down. I glared and huffed annoyed that a rock had tripped me. Me
and all the other boys had decided to race to see who was the fastest.
I was suppose to be the fastest since my daddy as Alpha but all the other boys beat me easily.
Daddy said it was because my Alpha blood hadn’t kicked in yet but I didn’t think I’d ever be faster then the other boys
They didn’t like me anyways the only person who would play with me was Sammy. He was the tallest out of all of us
even though he was only 5.
Sammy’s dad was beta so when he grew up he’d be beta. I knew he’d be a great at it unlike me
“Is your new mommy okay?” Sammy whispered.

A Fire Couldn’t Destroy Her – But His Betrayal Did
I turned around to see my mommy staring into space her face blank but her eyes were sad. I knew her and daddy had
had a fight and I knew it had been over me.
Thats why my old mommy hated me. She said I made daddy hate her that it was all my fault.
I didn’t want my new mommy to hate me too. She was prettier then my old one and she was daddy’s mate. I ran to her
and crawled on her lap shaking her out of her trance. She smiled down at me but it was fake.
I’d only met her today but it felt as if she’d always been my mommy. My wolf said she was our true mommy and he was
always right so I knew she was.
