Simon cursed and set the gun down before picking me up.

I wrapped my arms his neck partly because I needed the support and the other part was because he wouldn’t be able to

kill my uncle if he was still holding me.

“Simon you can’t kill him‘ I told him sternly.

“Yes I know but do you really think he would ever do anything to harm her. He’s her mate for god sakes Simon. He would

“She’s already attached to him Lena! She started screaming this morning because she couldn’t find him.”

I sighed. “Simon their mates”

“She dons’t know that! She two!” He yelled.

I groaned. But the wolf inside her does and she knows whats best for her human.”

“I don’t like this Lena” Simon growled.

I kissed his cheek “I know but at least you know there is some one who is always going to be their for her.”

Simon sighed deeply and I could tell he was having a internal battle.

He grumbled and carried me out the room, to the living room where the sound of laughter moved through the air.

I smiled at the scene that was placed before.

My silent uncle was on the floor smiling as Ambria put clips and bows in his hair. She wore a light pink dress her long

hair put into a pony tail.

I smiled as I noticed the lip stick on his lips and the blush. I’m pretty sure if she told him to put on a dress he’d do it.

Suddenly she stepped back and clapped her little hands.

‘Pretty‘ She squeled.

I laughed and so did Simon.

My uncle pointed to us “Tell anyone and I’ll deny it‘

‘Hell no I’m getting a camera‘ Simon laughed setting me down on the couch.

I laughed as my uncle tryed to quickly wipe the make up off but Ambria started yelling no angrily and he froze. With a

resigned sigh he put his hands back in his lap as Ambria put even more blush on his face.

“Pretty Ambria smiled.

My uncle smiled back at her and grabbed her pony tail lightly tugging on it.

“Ow” she giggled slapping his hands away.

He chuckled “That didn’t hurt you silly”

“uh huh she giggled.

I smiled at them and laid my head on my arm.

“Hey Babe your phones ringing”

I looked up in time to see Simon throw me my phone. I caught it easily an looked at the screen. Sighing I hit ignore and

smiled as Simon told Ambria to hug my uncle and smile.

“I thought you didn’t like me” My uncle as raising an eyebrow.

Simon scoffed “I don’t but she can laugh at this when she gets older, now smile”

My uncle shook his head but smiled at the camera his arms holding little Ambria to his side.

We all sat in the living room eating. We were watching some show on Disney Channel that had Ambria giggling the

whole time. She was quite smart for her age but then again all shifter children were wiser then their age.

My phone started to ring again and Simon sighed.

My eyes snapped to his betrayal filling me. ‘Babe I’m not taking his side but I can see what this is doing to you, He is your

mate and you love him do this for yourself. Let him talk‘

I glanced down at my ringing phone and swallowed.

With shaking hands I pressed answer and brought the phone to my ear.
