He words rang with truth and I felt my heart break. So much pain and grief he’d suffered yet he still pushed forward.

“Where did you go after….*

He looked at me and smiled. “Once Hunter was dead I had to go into hiding. Hunter had friends and some of them would

have been able to bring him back from the dead. I found his body and burned it making it impossible for him to come

back.”

I got up from the couch and walked over to Alec and hugged him tightly.

“Thank you grandfather” I whispered.

He hugged me back breathing deeply.

“No thank you little Rose”

Blaze and Ambria sat on the floor playing while the rest of us talked. Well the other mostly talked. Leo and Luca got to know our real grandfather for a while but Uncle Lee was wary of him. Alec was suppose to be his real father yet the man

who had raised him had never treated him badly.

He knew the man who raised him was the one who’d taken me and tried to kill his sister but he was still wary.

I could see Alec was hurt by Lee’s distant but I hoped with time uncle Lee would warm up to him. After a while Alec

stood up causing everyone to look to him.

“I–I think it’s time I go. I need to see my wife……my daughter. Thank you for letting me explain and really meet you. I

never thought this moment would come and I’m grateful it actually happened”

We all hugged him and wished him good luck.

Alec paused once he reached the door and gave Uncle Lee one last look and left.

Suddenly the silence was broken by Seven’s violent curses. I reached down and quickly covered Blaze’s ears as Simon’s

covered Ambria’s.

“What’s wrong? Leo asked his normally serious face streaked with panic.

‘Fudge monkey on a Christmas tree! Damn it!” Seven growled. “The baby’s here!”

It was complete silence for a heart beat before everyone was in motion. Leo swept Seven into his arms and up the stairs

while Shadow called the pack doctor.

Valentina quickly followed her face concerned.

Ambria and Blaze crawled onto my lap worried looks on their little faces.

“Whats wrong with her?” Blaze asked.

‘She’s going to be fine‘ I assured them. A scream filled the house and I flinched. Ambria and Blaze looked at me with

accusing faces.

Simon chuckled and pulled Ambria into his arms. “She’s having a baby which hurts alot. Which is why you should never

have intercourse. You hear her screaming that’s what will happen‘

I slapped Simon in the back of the head as Ambria’s face clouded over with fear.

Even though the two of them had no idea (hopefully) what Simon was talking about Simon could still scare them witless.

Uncle Lee growled annoyed by Simon and shook his head at Ambria. “He’s just being mean Angel”

Seven’s screams filled the house again and Blaze and Ambria screamed and ran out the room.

“Look what you did smart ass” I huffed.

Uncle Lee chased after them quickly not liking his little mate out of his sight.

Luca came back down the stairs his face pale. “I’m sorry but I’m not going through that with Valentina I’ll adopt or

something….just not that” He shuddered.

I laughed as I could hear Seven using every curse there was agaist Leo.

“Where’s Val?” I asked.

“Up there with that she demon. No matter how much she it she really does care for that crazy chick.”

Shadow came back into the room and quickly pulled me onto his lap.

Hours passed along with many screams and curses and Seven was still in labor. I felt sorry for Leo knowing Seven must
