“Shadow what–?”
‘Shhh its a surprise‘ He whispered before pecking my nose.
I frowned and crossed my arms sulking slightly.
“I don’t like surprises” I pouted.
“To bad because it took me forever to get everything I wanted and now you have to wait” His reply came.
My lips quirked at his tone and I remained silent. After a couple more moments I felt his hand gently take mine and interlace our fingers. I squeezed his hand and i felt the soft pressure of his lips against my fingers in answer.
“Are we there yet” I asked teasing for the fifth time.
His answering sigh made me laugh. “Yes were finally here you impatient woman. What am I going to do with you?”
“Love me, squeeze me, never leave me” I smirked.
I heard his chuckle and felt as he turned off the car. I waited patiently as he stepped out the car and smiled when a
warm breeze washed over my face as he opened my door.
I smelt the ocean a second before I heard the first wave crash into the beach. “Here how about we take off these so you don’t break an ankle” He whispered before I felt his hands grab my foot and slip of my heels.
‘Can I take the blind off now” I whined.
“Not yet‘ He chuckled taking my hand.
I sighed dramatically and let him pull me forward. I smiled as my toes sinked into warm sand the feeling slightly familiar. I’d never actually enjoyed the beach before and only felt the sand against my skin once. I knew this memory
would be more enjoyable then my last one.
Shadow held my hand firmly as he guided me forward. I felt exciment creep into me as we suddenly stopped.
“Alright…you can take it off now” Shadow whispered nervously.
My hands slightly trembling I pushed the dark fabric from my eyes and gasped.
Candles and flowers surrounded a large dark blanket that held multiple dishes. The glow of the candles bounced off the flower petals and the blanket making everything glow with a romantic mood.
This is beautiful Shadow thank you‘ I whispered wrapped my arms around his neck. His body sagged in relief and I felt
his arms snake around my hips pulling me closer.

“Thank god I was so worried I’d mess up again.” He laughed lightly.
I pulled back and smiled at him before pecking his lips lightly. “Thank you no one’s ever done this for me before‘ I
whispered.
He smiled and pulled me toward the blanket. I sat down my legs tucked under me. “I had Valentina and Seven help me
with the food so I’m sorry if it’s you know–” He shrugged sheepishly.
I just smiled assuredly at him knowing I wouldn’t mind anything that was put out.
He uncovered a few of the dishes and my stomach growled embarrassing loud as the smell of the unknown meat and
soup reached my nose.
Shadow chuckled and grabbed a slice of hte meat from the plate and held it up to my lips. I raised a eyebrow at him but
just shook his head.
“Feeding our mate makes us feel manly now open up” He laughed.
I parted my lips and moaned as he gently placed the delicious slice of heaven in my mouth. It tasted smooth and buttery
with a hint of lemon.
Shadow smiled pleased and quickly picked up another slice to feed me.
He continued to feed me by hand the rest of the dishes and every time I voiced my appreciation his eyes twinkled with
happiness.
When he got to the chocolate covered strawberries I pushed his hand away and grabbed the biggest one before crawling to my knees in front of him. He stared at me heatedly as I raised the fruit to his soft lips.
As he bite into the strawberry his lips brushed against my fingers making me shiver. Suddenly I realized why he seemed to like feeding me so much. His eyes never strayed from mine as chewed slowly.
‘How does it taste” I whispered.
“Why don’t you see for yourself‘ he answered before slanting his lips across mine. I gasped and was instantly rewarded as he deepened the kiss the taste of strawberries filling my senses.
When he pulled back a few seconds later I smiled and licked my lips. That was the best strawberry I’ve ever had
He grinned and pulled me down on the blanket.
“What are you doing I giggled rolling to my stomach to look at him. He stared at me for a moment a calm contented
look in his eyes.
“What’s your favorite color?” He whispered.

I looked at him confused and tilted my head. “It’s blue but why do you want to know?”
“Because I know absolutely nothing about you.”
“Yes you do I protested frowning.
“Baby I don’t what kind of music you like. What movie you hate or love. Wither your team Jacob or Edward.”
I gave him a weird look on the last one and he blushed.
“Valentina forced me to watch it don’t judge‘ He mumbled rubbing his neck.
I laughed and grabbed his hand. “Alright alright I see what you mean and I’m team Jacob by the way. I’ve never read the books or seen the movies but I did see the guy playing Jacob I fanned my self dramatically causing him to growl and
push me onto my back his teeth nipping my neck playfully.
I giggled and looked up at him.
“You know I’m kidding……sorta. Whats you favorite color?”
He gave me a look but let the Jacob thing go. “Its blue” He answered brushing a stray lock of hair from my face.
The rest of the night went on like that. He asked a question then I’d a question. He stayed away from things like my childhood and my family which I was grateful for.
