It had only been a few years since he returned to the country, yet someone already had the nerve to try climbing into his bed.
His bed was meant for only one person.
“Gosh! Tell me, Mr. Levine–are you serious about your nephew’s wife?”
Sebastian shot him a cold glance. “Watch how you address her. That’s your sister–in–law. By seniority, you can also call her your aunt.”
He added, “My nephew’s wife is Amber. They’re getting married next month.”
Julian was utterly impressed by how quickly Sebastian countered, move after move.
“You’re truly something.”
He was genuinely looking forward to the moment Trevor discovered that Sebastian was eyeing his ex–girlfriend.
This drama was going to be spectacular, and Julian made sure he had front–row seats.
Meanwhile, Lucinda held Serena’s hand as they walked into the restaurant.
The moment they stepped inside, the small man–made bridges, flowing water, and courtyard filled with greenery made both of their eyes light up.
They walked to their reserved private room. As the wooden sliding door was pulled open, Serena paused slightly.
“Uncle Sebastian?” Lucinda was just as surprised. “I didn’t know you’d be here too!”
Her voice was full of disbelief. From what she remembered, Sebastian disliked other types of cuisine. He only ever ate the same type of food, and she wondered whether he’d nearly gone into isolation during those years abroad.
Sebastian here was completely unexpected.
“Come in, Lil Lucy!” Julian called out. Then, he politely nodded at Serena. “Hey there-”
Before he could finish speaking, Serena started coughing violently. Sebastian glared at Julian, and the latter obediently shut his mouth.
He quickly realized Lucinda was unaware of their relationship.
Meanwhile, the girl looked at her friend with concern. “Rena, are you okay?”
Serena had been startled just now. Convinced she’d given herself away, she immediately choked. Her face flushed bright red as she waved her hand. “I’m fine. I’ll be okay after some water.”
The private room was pretty traditional. After taking off their shoes, the two took their seats. Unfortunately, Serena ended up seated directly opposite that half–smiling face.
Sebastian was seated casually, his long legs wrapped in tailored slacks. Even through the thin fabric, the firm fines of muscle

A flicker of concern passed through his brows. His voice was low and magnetic as he held out a cup of water considerately. “Take it slow.”
Serena took it and sipped a little to soothe her irritated throat. She lowered her eyes slightly and murmured a soft thank–you in response.
Lucinda raised an eyebrow, glancing back and forth between the two. Her lips moved, but she didn’t say anything.
Julian teased smugly, “Ms. Steele, are you excited to meet Mr. Levine once more?”
Serena’s fingers tightened around the cup. Startled, she didn’t dare lift her head.
Lucinda quickly stepped in to help her out. “Julian, it seems like Rena’s terrified of you.”
