Zohn caught the surprise on Daniel’s expression and knew the hint had landed. He smiled, looking quietly satisfied. “Mr. Hart, I will let you get back to work. Mr. Nathan needs me for something, so I will head out first.”

“The part where he told us not to work overtime. I had literally just told you we’d probably have to stay late, and then he goes and says that in the meeting. Anyone who didn’t know better would think he had cameras set up in the office.”

Serena’s smile stiffened at the corners. She let out an awkward laugh and said, “Yeah… seriously.”
