Trevor’s cheeks flushed a little. He had no idea why Sebastian insisted he come. The doctor’s questions made his cheeks warm all the way to his ears.
The paramedic muttered to himself, annoyed. How should I know? Anyway, it’s five hundred for a ride. The guy called, paid, and that is the end of the story.
“Doctor, it was my car that accidentally hit him. Could you please run an MRI on his brain? Or maybe a full checkup would be better,” Sebastian said quickly.
The ER doctor raised an eyebrow and looked at the patient. “Hit in the head, huh?”
Trevor pressed his lips together, a little embarrassed. “Not really…”
“Even if it wasn’t, you might not know for sure. Doctor, I’m his Uncle Sebastian. Just do it, okay? I can’t risk not knowing what’s going on in his head.”
The ER doctor couldn’t hold it in and rolled his eyes.
Honestly, I think both this patient and the family member have some issues upstairs.
He printed out the order, clearly annoyed, and handed it over. “Fine, take a left out the door and pay at the counter.”
And just like that, thanks to Sebastian’s insistence, Trevor ended up getting a brain scan.
“Uncle Sebastian, aren’t you overreacting a bit?” Trevor asked, a little worn out and confused.
Sebastian deliberately put on a cold expression. “Overreacting? Nathan only has you as a son. How could this be overreacting? Alright, Trevor, don’t worry about anything else. Go stand in line.”
Trevor sighed, took the order, and walked off. He had planned to see Serena, but after all that, he’d completely lost the mood.
Trevor frowned, a little confused, and turned back. “Uncle Sebastian, how did you end up on Azurehill Road just now? Were you headed there for something?”
Sebastian smirked. “I was just coming back from a meal engagement and heading home. Patrick didn’t check the GPS properly and took a wrong turn. I gave him a little scolding, and next thing you know, he accidentally ran into your car.”
Oh, that explains it. Trevor’s doubts melted away instantly.
“Go on, better get there before the doctor clocks out,” Sebastian said.
He watched Trevor walk away, then pulled out his phone and dialed a number.
A soft, surprised female voice answered, “Uncle Sebastian?”
“Amber, can you come by the Civic Hospital ER? Trevor just got into a car accident. If you’re free, go keep an eye on him.”
“Car accident?” Amber gasped. “Is Trevor okay?”
“He’ll be fine. He’s just in line for a brain MRI. My driver didn’t see the road properly and ended up on Azurehill Road. Missed the turn and hit his car. Don’t worry too much. Take a cab and come over.”

Azurehill Road? Amber went pale. But didn’t Trevor tell me earlier that he was working late at the office when I called him? It! remember correctly, Azurehill Road is right near Serena’s place.
“Okay, Uncle Sebastian. I got it. I am coming right now,” she said.
Where am I supposed to find an Uncle as thoughtful as me? Sebastian thought.
