“Sure. Uncle Sebastian is married. He even showed us his marriage certificate. The wedding is the only thing missing. He didn’t reveal his wife’s identity, but he promised he’ll bring her today.”
It was eleven thirty. Most guests had arrived, but Amber hadn’t seen Serena anywhere.
She was disappointed. What a coward! I overestimated her.
She planned to settle old scores, but it couldn’t happen without Serena. She had no choice but to postpone it.
Amber and the bridesmaids headed to the dressing room to touch up their makeup and change into different dresses.
Trevor also felt frustrated.
He was experiencing mixed feelings. He expected Serena to regret not marrying him, yet he also feared the sincere smile she would have when she blessed him after having moved on.
He was torn. He couldn’t decide which situation was better. In the end, the person he expected to see never showed up.
“We didn’t miss someone important. Let’s go. The ceremony will start in ten minutes.”
Nathan muttered, “Where’s Sebastian?”
Deanna comforted him. “Perhaps there’s a disturbance. He’s a mysterious man. Honestly, I won’t even get my hopes up to see him here.”
As the wedding began, Nathan walked Amber down the aisle and turned her over to Trevor.
Through her teary eyes, she saw the handsome man smiling tenderly at her. “No need to cry. Otherwise, you’ll whine about your ruined makeup.”
She sniffed and hummed quietly. “Trevor, do you love me?”
“Of course. I love you and will always love you.”
His sweet words were like poison, deceiving the confused woman.
They exchanged rings and kissed before the witnesses.

Lucinda kept scanning the room for Serena, as Serena had promised to be there. Where did she go? She’ll miss it if she doesn’t hurry!
A group of rich kids gathered around the same table.
“Juju, where’s Sebastian? Isn’t he coming?” Elijah fiddled with a lighter.
Sebastian’s words to Julian about him attending the wedding were the only reason his friends showed up to support Trevor.
Most importantly, Sebastian said he would bring his wife.
His friends couldn’t pass up the chance to see her.
“Elijah, watch your mouth. Don’t ‘Juju‘ me.” Julian retorted. “It won’t be long now. He just texted me that he’s on the way.”
Serena was up late. When she finished changing, Sebastian’s dark eyes landed on her, and he calmly requested, “Rena, could you wear a fitted dress today?”
When he had just returned to Hugrove, the sight of Serena in a fitted dress on their first meeting impressed him.
Back then, she was still dating Trevor.
The petty and possessive man wanted to overwrite every memory she made with someone else, so he made the suggestion.
Just last night, Serena bought a new fitted dress. She had a few in her wardrobe. She seldom wore them, but she loved to admire their designs.
When she changed her dress as he requested, they were delayed again.
The emerald dress accentuated her ivory skin, making her shine with ethereal beauty.
