Chapter 212 Eugene’s Question
She cleared her throat before finally answering, “Hey, Boss.”
“Hey, Serena. You home yet?”
Serena’s cheeks flushed with heat. “Yeah, I just got in.”
“I haven’t even asked. When did you get married? Who did you marry? Serena, marr something you do on impulse. You didn’t go through with it just to get back at that gi
“Does your family know? Don’t tell me you got the license without telling anyone.”
Eugene wasn’t upset that she hadn’t told him. He was worried she made a mistake.
One wrong decision could wreck everything.
Sebastian nipped at her earlobe with a smug look, like he was punishing her for that so- setup earlier.
Serena stiffened. Her breath caught. “Boss, it wasn’t a secret. My dad knows.”
Eugene sighed. “And the guy? Is he treating you right?”
Sebastian’s lips trailed lower.
Serena’s breath grew heavy. Her entire face turned red. She struggled to keep quiet. “He tr me well.”
“Alright. If you say so. We’re having dinner soon. I want to meet him.”
Eugene didn’t trust that an elopement meant anything good and would judge for himself
The second the call ended, Sebastian leaned in and kissed her again.
Serena snapped out of it and shoved him hard. “Sebastian, stop it!”
He raised an eyebrow. His voice was low and rough. “What now? You’re the one who caused this. Why are you acting like I did something wrong?”
She looked him in the eye. “That dinner tonight wasn’t my idea. My boss arranged it. He already told everyone I was single, so I didn’t go into it. That guy you saw? I met him for the first time tonight. I didn’t even know he’d be there.”

Chapter 212 Eugene’s Question
Sebastian played with her fingers slowly. “That’s all?”
Serena frowned. She thought hard. That really was everything.
Then, his hand tightened around hers. His voice turned cold. “Where’s your ring?”
Serena froze in place. “What ring?”
His eyes narrowed. “What do you think I’m talking about? I wear mine every day. Wh you stash yours?”
Serena’s voice dropped. “We agreed not to go public yet… so I didn’t wear it.”
Her tone grew weaker with every word. Even she knew how flimsy it sounded.
He was out there, wearing it proudly. She was acting like she had something to hide.
That was a little unfair.
He bit her finger, just enough to make her flinch.
Then, his voice brushed against her ear. “I’ll let it slide once. Next time, I won’t.”
Donald had been walking on air lately.
His daughter had really pulled off something big.
Marrying Sebastian? He still couldn’t believe it.
Just as he basked in his own pride, his phone rang. It was his son–in–law.
“Sebastian, what’s going on?”
