Chapter 225 Eugene’s Sarcasm
“Sorry, Mr. Levine. You kept groaning, so I figured cold water would help wake you up.”
Trevor looked down. His suit clung to him, drenched. His hair dripped, and water ran down his face.
He looked completely pathetic.
“Alright, fine. I’m not blaming you,” he muttered, waving him off. “Just tell them I left.”
He stumbled toward the door, legs unsteady.
Eugene watched his back with a cold smirk. If the guy tripped on the way out, that would be the highlight of his night.
Trevor leaned against the doorframe. The breeze hit his face and sobered him up just enough.
With a cigarette between his lips, he borrowed a phone from the valet and punched in the number from memory.
+201
Sebastian glanced at the woman passed out on the desk. He sighed and brushed her hair gently.
He carried her to the bedroom. Her soft black hair spilled across the pillows. Her lips were parted slightly, their color warm and inviting.
Sebastian’s throat tightened. He turned away.
If he kept staring, he’d lose every ounce of self–control.
A low vibration broke the silence. The sound repeated again and again.
He frowned and turned toward it. Her phone buzzed beside her laptop.
He picked it up. Unknown number. He declined it without a second thought.
The screen lit up again.
He glanced at Serena. She stirred slightly, almost awake. He stepped to the door and took the call.
He didn’t get a word in before a familiar voice filled the line.
Trevor’s eyes were red. The thought of Serena marrying Sebastian made his chest feel like it was caving in.
He’d had a few drinks. That didn’t stop him from calling. He didn’t wait for her to speak. “Rena, it’s me. Trever I miss you so much. I’m losing it.
“Rena, I know I messed up. Can we please fix this? Don’t marry Uncle Sebastian. I can’t take it. Watching you with someone else is bad enough. But him?
“Rena, I get it. You married him to get back at me, right?”
Sebastian’s eyes turned ice cold. His voice followed. “Trevor, you’re calling your aunt this late at night? Are you seriously this out of line?

Chapter 225 Eugene’s Sarcasm
“And when did you grow a face that thick? You always this shameless?
“You think she married me to spite you? You think you matter that much?”
He hung up on the spot and blocked the number.
Serena rolled over on the bed with a little groan. “Quiet down.”
Sebastian stepped over and slipped into bed beside her. “Don’t worry, sweetheart. Come here. Let me hold you.”
Trevor froze.
They were already sharing a bed?
That realization hit like a gut punch.
Back when he had her, he didn’t even like holding her hand. All he cared about was Amber.
But now, knowing Serena had actually moved on, the pain in his chest didn’t stop.
She said she’d love him forever. And the second he looked away, she left.
Liar.
