Chapter 366 Better Late Than Never
Chapter 366 Better Late Than Never
Evelyn gave her a measured side glance. “You think only male appreciate hx2 I’m a woman, and I admire her too. When someone’s truly exceptional, it’s normal for everyone to notice.”
The woman beside her deflated, clearly surprised by Evelyn’s casual confidence.
“Ms. Dempsey, you’re not even a little jealous?”
Evelyn laughed, shaking her head. “Seriously? Think about it-would you feet jealous of your parents? Your uncle and his wife? Or even a cousin and their spouse?”
The question left the woman speechless, and she fell silent.
Dinner concluded, and Eugene draped an arm around Evelyn’s shoulders. “Tough evening, huh? Did someone try to mess with your head again?”
Evelyn shrugged. “It’s nothing. Gossip is just part of human nature.”
Serena waved them off before sprinting toward a sleek black sedan and sliding inside.
Evelyn raised an eyebrow. “She’s got some serious resources behind her.”
Eugene chuckled. “Exactly. That’s why people are so envious of her.”
At that moment, Evelyn finally grasped why Adam had been so attentive toward Serena.
“Why didn’t you tell me you were coming to get me today?”
Serena had been driving herself up until now. Every time he picked her up, she ended up riding with him to the office the following morning.
“A husband should pick up his wife after work. That’s how it’s supposed to be,” he said.
Serena grinned. Fair point-she couldn’t argue with that.
Her eyes fell on a luxurious shopping bag resting on the floor.
“What’s this?” she asked.
Sebastian’s tone was casual, almost dismissive. “It’s for you. Take a look and see if you like it.”
Serena pulled the item out and gasped. A fountain pen sparkled in her hands.
“This… this is the Lumina?” she whispered.

Chapter 366 Better Late Than Never
The Lumina the ultimate fountain pen.
It was encrusted with 1,919 black diamonds and 100 rubies, the nib shining gold in the light.
Sebastian hummed, observing her reaction. “Do you like it?”
Her gaze fell on her initials engraved on the cap, and she couldn’t hide her delight. “I love it!”
There was no way she wouldn’t love it.
The pen was an absolute fortune, probably worth tens of millions, and signing her name with it would feel like handling a priceless treasure.
“It’s a little gift to celebrate your promotion. Late, but better late than never,” he explained
He had ordered it long ago, intending to give it to her a year earlier. Then her training trip postponed everything
At a red light, Serena leaned over and kissed his cheek. “Thank you, honey.”
Sebastian’s eyes flicked to her lips, a mischievous grin spreading. “Save your thanks for home.”
“Honey, that training trip had to count for something. I really leveled up,” she said with a teasing smile.
His expression darkened, his Adam’s apple moving with a deep swallow. “Yeah.”
Later, in the bedroom, the night breeze made the curtains sway as the room radiated heat.
Serena wrapped her arms around his neck. Sebastian cupped her head with both hands, pulling her into a passionate kiss.
He pressed her close, leaving nothing untouched.
Serena surrendered entirely, melting into him.
