Serena watched as the nurses wheeled Judith into the operating room, her blood slowly coalescing into ice.

“Mr. Curtis, what happened?”

Judith had been perfectly fine. In fact, she had annual checkups. So, how could she faint out of nowhere!

“Ms. Steele, please calm down. We have no idea what happened as well. Old Mrs. Steele was in good spirits this morning. She even had a visitor this morning. It’s just that she collapsed not long after that woman left”

Serena shot to her feet. “A visitor? Who?”

George was caught off guard by her violent reaction. Still, he replied, “Well, I didn’t see her myself. According to the caregivers, it was a Ms. Jacobs?”
