Chiara had already arranged everything perfectly in advance.
Since Poppy didn't have her driver's license yet, Chiara hired a private chauffeur for the duration of Hester's stay in Riverton.
From the airport, Poppy first took Hester to her hotel to check in.
Chiara had booked a presidential suite with two bedrooms, meaning Hester and Poppy each had their own space.
Once they were checked in, Poppy dragged Hester's luggage into the master bedroom.
"You take the master, Hester. Chiara mentioned you're pregnant, and this room has a little balcony. The light and airflow are much better here!"
Not only did Poppy look incredibly sweet, but she also had a high, almost childlike voice.
Hester's eyes curved in an affectionate smile.
"Thank you," Hester said softly, pressing a hand to her lower back. "My back is aching a bit. I don't think I'll be going out today."
Poppy noticed Hester rubbing her back. Though she lacked personal experience, she knew pregnancy was exhausting.
"Are you wiped out from the flight?"
"Probably."
"Then hurry up and get into bed! If you need me to do anything, just say the word. Seriously, don't be polite about it!"
"Thank you, but I'm fine for now. I'm just going to go lie down. If you have your own things to do, go ahead. Don't worry about me."
"I cleared my whole schedule for the next few days. Chiara told me to take good care of you. That's my most important mission right now!"
Hearing that, Hester smiled helplessly. "You're a college student. You shouldn't neglect your studies for me."
"It's totally fine! Our acting classes have super flexible schedules. A few days won't hurt at all!"
