Hester was playing the long game.
She instructed Gael to hire a massive wave of online bots to flood Seraphina's official social media accounts with comments.
Within an hour, Seraphina's comment section was completely overrun.
When Bianca called, Seraphina was in the middle of a full-body treatment at a luxury spa.
Seeing the caller ID, she signaled the esthetician to stop and leave the room.
Once the door clicked shut, she answered. "Hey, Bianca."
"Seraphina, I need you to be completely honest with me. Did you plagiarize your content?"
Seraphina froze.
A flicker of panic crossed her eyes, but she quickly masked it, keeping her voice sweet and innocent. "Why would you ask me that? Did something happen?"
"People online are saying your videos are basically carbon copies of a creator named 'Clio.' But Clio's videos were posted years before yours. She mysteriously vanished five years ago, and now everyone is accusing you of stealing her entire aesthetic and concept!"
Seraphina gripped her phone tighter, her tone dripping with victimhood. "Bianca, I swear, I didn't steal anything."
"This is a critical moment for us. We're producing this show specifically to outshine Chiara Carrington. Mr. Hale is pouring a fortune into this just to make you a star. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and we cannot afford any scandals right now!"
"I know, Bianca. I promise, I didn't plagiarize."
Her denial was firm, but Bianca had already watched Clio's old videos before making the call. The visual style, the pacing, the actual content—the overlap was undeniable. It couldn't possibly be a coincidence.
Coupled with Seraphina's previous desperate refusal to show her face on camera, Bianca strongly suspected she was guilty. After all, Clio had published her work long before Seraphina ever showed up online. Anyone looking at the timeline would instantly conclude Seraphina was the copycat.
"I have to remind you," Bianca warned strictly. "Mr. Hale values your originality. If he finds out these concepts were stolen, your worth to him drops to zero. You need to understand the stakes here."
