Caught Him Cheating My Life Restarted (Natalie) novel Chapter 112

Liana shook her head and signed.

*Liana doesn't know either.*

Lucas said, "Natalie, we really want you to be part of our family. My daddy sincerely wants…"

Before Lucas could finish, Terence interrupted with a smile. "He's not wrong. Sometimes, explaining is futile. It's better to offer a counter-narrative. I find it hard to believe anyone would think that, given a choice between me and a man in his sixties, you'd choose the man in his sixties."

With Terence putting it that way, it seemed everyone had forgotten about last night's rumors. No one would believe Natalie was trying to seduce a man forty years older than her.

"I suppose that's true, but now people won't be gossiping about me—they'll be gossiping about you. For the powerful head of the Lockwood family to get involved with someone like me... it's terrible for your reputation."

"You have a point. My reputation is shot now. Why don't the two of us, with our tarnished reputations, just make do with each other?"

Terence pretended to be in a tough spot, and Natalie found it amusing.

People always said Terence Lockwood was eccentric, ruthless, and as cold and intimidating as the grim reaper.

But she saw him as someone who was cold on the outside but warm on the inside.

He could have ignored her problems, but instead, he threw himself into the fray to help her.

Such a good person… if he had to spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair, it would break her heart.

"I've dragged you down with me."

Natalie lowered her gaze, her heart filled with guilt.

"I was just joking. You're the Lockwood family's physician. It's perfectly natural for you to live with us. After all, we provide lodging for all our employees."

Terence didn't want to pressure her. Right now, the most important thing was to convince her to stay.

Lucas suddenly felt like he had just sabotaged his dad's plan.

He glanced at his dad and saw a very telling look in his eyes.

Natalie looked out the car window and realized they were on Willowbrook Lane.

She quickly said to the driver, "Sir, could you please pull over up ahead?"

"Natalie, where are you going?" Lucas asked.

"Up ahead, to the Silverleaf Apothecary."

It was a shop that sold all sorts of strange and wonderful things. No matter what one wanted to buy, they could find it there. It was especially known for its rare traditional herbs—the only place one could hope to find them.

"Natalie, what are you buying herbs for?" Lucas asked.
