Everett scoffed. "I really don't want to show you anything, but I can't stand by while you slander Natalie like this. You want the prescription? Fine, I'll get it for you. Let's see just how despicable you are!"
Everett went to retrieve the archived prescription Natalie had left with him.
"Take a good look. If you can't read, I can check it for you."
Victoria snapped, "Are you two in this together? Are you deliberately covering for her?"
"You accuse me of covering for her without even looking? Are you just here to cause trouble?"
Victoria took the prescription and compared it carefully. The herbs and dosages were indeed identical. Embarrassed, she said, "Darren, help me look. Is there anything wrong here?"
Darren looked, and he too could find no discrepancies.
Natalie explained, "It's not the prescription or the dosage, it's the preparation. The herbs need to be soaked for two hours beforehand. I noted all of this clearly. You said Marie prepared the medicine herself? She may not have had the time. Brewing this medicine takes several hours. Marie is a career woman; where would she find the time?"
At this, Victoria's face turned ugly.
Terence said, "Natalie was kind enough to leave you the prescription and the instructions. It's your own failure, yet you come here to blame her. Have you gotten used to bullying her?"
"Mr. Lockwood, how are we bullying her? My illness is getting worse, I have to find out why," Victoria whined.
"You've found out. Now you can get out," Terence said flatly.
The man countless women dreamed of marrying... and he wanted Natalie.
"I don't believe it. How is that possible? She's just the cast-off our family…"
Victoria was about to say that Natalie was the trash the Cross family had thrown out, but before the words could leave her mouth, she met Terence Lockwood's icy gaze and instantly swallowed them.
Terence said coldly, "If I ever hear anyone speak ill of Natalie again, I will rip out their tongue."
Victoria was too terrified to speak. Darren, his face grim, said, "Natalie, are you just going to stand there and watch Mom be humiliated? Don't forget, she was once your mother-in-law."

Time for Marie to get her end, this has gone on way too long, time to move on. It’s getting boring....
Payback time. Waiting for chapters 321 onwards!...
I love the sarcastic comebacks. Quite amusing!...
