Caught Him Cheating My Life Restarted (Natalie) novel Chapter 119

"Shut your mouth! Arrange for a plane immediately. I'm going back to Aurelis!"

Nicholas was about to explode. What kind of game was his grandfather playing?

Who the hell was this woman? Her reputation was already in the gutter, yet she could still make his grandfather try to force a marriage in front of the media.

What an absolute joke.

If he didn't go back now, who knew what other tricks his grandfather would pull.

He would go back and see for himself just what kind of woman could make his brilliant, worldly-wise grandfather so foolish.

...

The Lockwood Estate.

Terence returned to the Lockwood mansion with Natalie, Lucas, and Liana, who were all in high spirits, only to find the butler looking grim.

What had happened?

"Master, the Old Madam wishes to see you. And bring Ms. Verdan."

Lucas asked, "Great-grandma wants to see Natalie? What for? Can we go too?"

"The Old Madam specified that the Young Master and Young Miss are not to come."

Lucas grew anxious.

"That won't do! We have to go with Natalie."

Natalie quickly soothed the children. "Lucas, Liana, why don't you go get started on your homework? I'll check it for you later."

Natalie knew it must have been Terence's words to the media that had angered the matriarch of the Lockwood family.

The butler led them to the Old Madam's residence.

As soon as they entered, they smelled sandalwood. The old lady was also a connoisseur of incense.

The butler announced respectfully, "Old Madam, they have arrived."

Amidst the subtle fragrance, a very elegant old woman emerged from behind a screen.

She looked Natalie up and down. "She does have some charm. No wonder my grandson would propose to you in front of so many people."

Old Mrs. Lockwood's voice was seemingly calm, but the icy authority within it was enough to send a chill down one's spine.

Natalie bowed slightly and said respectfully, "Madam, I was the target of a malicious rumor and found it difficult to prove my innocence. Mr. Lockwood only said those things to clear up the misunderstanding and divert attention from the gossip. I am very sorry for the negative impact this has had on the Lockwood family."

The old lady stared at Terence. "Is that really all it is?" Her gaze was piercing. Terence replied, "If you want to hear the truth, then let her leave first. This is, after all, our family's business."
