"What are you all still standing around for? Go find her, now!"

Just then, a maid called out.

"The young miss is back!"

Terence’s eyes remained cold. "Lucas Lockwood, if you lead your sister astray again, you'll answer to me."

Lucas was speechless. An older brother was apparently born to take the blame. Fine, he could live with that.

[Daddy, Liana’s back.]

"Where did you go?"

Liana held up her tablet, her doe-like eyes crinkling with a smile.

Her tutor stared in disbelief.

She solved it? Just like that?

"Young miss, how did you solve it? Did you really go find that math genius, Marie?"

The little girl nodded, then began gesturing with her hands. [She was so gentle and incredibly smart. She solved it in less than ten minutes.]

At that moment, Lucas eaned in to look. The problem looked like a bunch of ancient squiggles to him.

He’d have a hard time just copying the solution, let alone figuring it out.

How did anyone do this?

"Someone solved this gibberish in under ten minutes? Is she some kind of cyborg?"

Liana’s cheeks puffed out in anger.

She gestured furiously. [Brother, don't you dare say bad things about the pretty lady!]

The second his sister got upset, his father’s icy glare shot over to him.

Lucas quickly backtracked. "No, not a cyborg! I meant she's a... a human computer. A total genius."

Just then, a dignified, elegantly dressed woman walked in. "Why look at a photo when you can see her in person at a blind date?"

It was Terence’s mother. Terence frowned slightly.

"Terence, the children are growing up. They need a mother, especially a little girl like Liana. The elders of the Ward family have been pestering me, wanting you to meet their daughter, Marie. Just go see her. After all, she helped Liana, and Liana seems to like her. Will you just meet her?"

Liana gestured: [The pretty lady is a true beauty and super gentle. It would be amazing if she could be Liana’s mommy.]

Old Mrs. Lockwood said, "You see? Liana likes this Marie Ward so much. I’m just asking you to meet her, not marry her on the spot."

"We'll see."

With that, Terence walked away. His two children were normally wary of strangers. Why the sudden change? They seemed almost... approachable now.

Old Mrs. Lockwood declared, "'We’ll see' means he hasn’t refused. Arrange the date immediately."

She turned to Philip Greystone, who was standing by the door. "Your boss is going on a blind date. Hurry up and arrange a meeting with Marie Ward."

Philip was stunned. Was this for real? The great Mr. Lockwood agreeing to a blind date? Had hell frozen over?
