“I know where to find a copy. I’ll take you.”
With that, Mrs. Lockwood grabbed Natalie’s hand and hurried off.
Natalie was pulled along so quickly she didn’t even have a chance to speak.
Where was she taking her?
Mrs. Lockwood led Natalie to the edge of a lake.
Natalie was astonished. The Lockwood estate was enormous, big enough to contain such a large body of water.
But why had Mrs. Lockwood brought her here?
She wasn’t using the book as bait to lure her here and push her in, was she?
Mrs. Lockwood must have noticed Natalie’s strange expression. “What’s with that look? You don’t actually think I’m planning to throw you in the lake, do you?”
“I was a little worried.”
Natalie’s honest reply made Mrs. Lockwood laugh.
“You’re so straightforward, it’s hilarious. Don’t worry, I’m waiting for you to make me beautiful again. I’ll at least wait until I look young and radiant before I toss you in.”
Natalie nodded earnestly, which Mrs. Lockwood found even funnier.
“I’m just teasing you. This is the Ravenfell Wing. It’s a forbidden area left by the old patriarch, filled with herbs and medical texts. I snuck in once and saw a book called *The Anatomy of Touch: Classical Massage Techniques*. It was hidden away very carefully, so it must be the most valuable one. Let’s go take a look.”
Mrs. Lockwood started to pull Natalie inside, but Natalie resisted. It was a forbidden area, after all, and Mrs. Lockwood had said the book was hidden secretly. It didn’t feel right to just walk in.
“Ma’am, wait. If it’s a forbidden area, perhaps we shouldn’t go in.”
“What are you afraid of? I snuck in years ago, and I’m still alive and well, aren’t I?”
Natalie was speechless. Terence’s mother was certainly not an ordinary person.
“This one was hidden the best, but I still found it. Here, take it and read.”
“Most of these are long-lost texts. They’re incredibly valuable. They’ve been preserved so well, the owner clearly cherished them. Is it really okay for me to be here?”
Natalie felt uneasy about looking through these books without the owner’s permission.
Especially since Mrs. Lockwood had said this was a forbidden place.
Mrs. Lockwood said proudly, “Books are inanimate; people are not. What good is a book if it’s not in someone’s hands? Go on, read as much as you like. From now on, you can come here to study. I’ll even have someone add a medicine cabinet for you, so you can focus on your research here.”
“But you said this was a forbidden area.”
“It was when I first married into the family. But after I visited a few too many times, it stopped being so forbidden.”
Natalie was speechless.

Time for Marie to get her end, this has gone on way too long, time to move on. It’s getting boring....
Payback time. Waiting for chapters 321 onwards!...
I love the sarcastic comebacks. Quite amusing!...
