Caught Him Cheating My Life Restarted (Natalie) novel Chapter 140

Seeing Hanley push Natalie, Lucas immediately shoved him back.

"What do you think you're doing? I warned you not to bully Natalie!"

Liana rushed to Natalie's side, signing frantically to ask if she was hurt. Natalie shook her head, reassuring her that she was fine.

Just then, Darren strode forward and grabbed Hanley's arm. "Hanley, how dare you push your mother? Apologize!"

Hanley shot back, "Why should I apologize? It's her fault I can't get into the Junior Division! She's not my mommy! I don't have such a bad mommy!"

In a flash, Darren's hand swung out and slapped Hanley across the face.

"That little girl earned her spot fair and square with three first-place finishes. You were beaten, and now you're blaming your mother?"

Marie was shocked that Darren would hit Hanley in front of everyone, especially for Natalie.

"Darren, how could you hit Hanley in front of all these people!" she cried.

"This is between me and my son. It has nothing to do with you."

Natalie's brow furrowed.

Darren turned to Natalie. "Are you okay?"

He reached out to steady her, but Natalie sidestepped his touch.

At that moment, the Helios representative spoke. "We've reached a decision. This child is indeed a rare talent. If she can truly speak in three months, our Junior Division would be honored to welcome her."

The words made sense, but Liana knew that if she had been disqualified, Hanley would have been accepted, and maybe he wouldn't hate Natalie so much.

Natalie gently stroked Liana's hair. "Liana, not being able to speak is not your fault. We'll work on it together. I still want to hear you call me Natalie."

Liana nodded vigorously, her heart filled with joy.

The headmistress announced, "Let's give another warm round of applause to congratulate these two children! And we wish Liana a speedy recovery!"

Natalie looked at Liana. "You will recover. Trust me."

Liana nodded with all her might. Terence watched Natalie. He now understood why the two children were so attached to her. She gave them a profound sense of security.
