Terence's tone was light, but his eyes were full of challenge.
You're divorced. Don't you know your place?
Darren shot back, "She is my child's mother and my wife. Peeling shrimp for us, that's the warmth of domestic life."
"Leaving aside the fact that you're already divorced, even if you weren't, why is it that her serving you is considered happiness? Why can't you be like me and feed her a peeled shrimp? Since you can't do it, why are you trying to stop her from moving on to someone better than you?"
Terence's words left Darren speechless. Natalie's heart resonated with every word.
Her serving them was called happiness? Had they ever cherished it?
Lucas and Liana stood up and applauded.
"Daddy, that was brilliant! We are better than you. Natalie is very happy with us, so back off, you losers!"
Lucas's words nearly made Darren's head explode.
Liana snuggled affectionately against Natalie, who gently stroked her hair.
Darren looked at Natalie, his tone still cold and aloof. "Hanley wanted to get into the gifted program, but he just barely missed the cut. The child is very upset right now. As his mother, aren't you going to comfort him?"
Natalie let out a self-deprecating laugh. "I don't know how I'm supposed to comfort him. And I don't think he needs me. He needs his aunt."
Natalie looked at Darren and his son, her eyes icy, especially when she mentioned "his aunt."
Darren said impatiently, "I've told you, Marie will never replace you. If you're really that bothered by Hanley's close contact with her, I'll stop her from teaching him from now on. You can raise Hanley yourself."
This world placed too many moral burdens on the title of 'mother.'
"We are divorced. Who raises the child has nothing to do with me."
Natalie's cold words stunned Darren.
He had already gone this far for her. Why was she still making a scene? Why wouldn't she just let it go?
Lucas said angrily, "You need to do some self-reflection. Do you really think Natalie is obligated to forgive you? Actually, don't bother reflecting. God might laugh."
Terence chuckled from the side. His son was something else.

Time for Marie to get her end, this has gone on way too long, time to move on. It’s getting boring....
Payback time. Waiting for chapters 321 onwards!...
I love the sarcastic comebacks. Quite amusing!...
