Victoria wrung her hands and stomped her feet. "For five years, I treated her like my own daughter. I gave her the best of everything. Even though she had a gambling addict for a father and was beneath our family, I accepted her.
"But now she's cheated on my son, found someone richer, and wants to abandon us. Her own child is only five years old, and she doesn't want him anymore. She even hurt her own son for the sake of another child!"
"What kind of woman is this? She's clearly one of those social climbers who use marriage to get rich."
"She's from the countryside and still isn't satisfied. Now she's latched onto another rich man, using her ex-husband as a stepping stone."
A group of old women surrounded Natalie, their voices a cacophony of accusations. Natalie couldn't break through.
Seeing Natalie being condemned by everyone, Victoria felt a surge of triumph.
She feigned weakness and said, "My medicine is on her. Please, someone kind, help me get it back."
At her plea, one old woman lunged forward and grabbed at Natalie's clothes. Soon, others, believing themselves to be agents of justice, joined in.
They tugged at Natalie's clothes, shouting.
"Give your mother-in-law her medicine!"
The old women swarmed her like zombies. Just then, the roar of a powerful engine cut through the chaos. The sound was deafening, like a beast charging toward them.
Everyone turned to see a phantom-silver heavy motorcycle hurtling in their direction.
"Run!"
Amid the thunderous roar, the old women scattered in panic.
The motorcycle screeched to a halt. The rider wore a helmet, obscuring his face.
Suddenly, he tossed a helmet to Natalie.
"Get on."
The man's voice was deep and commanding, leaving no room for refusal. She didn't recognize the voice at all.
Get on his motorcycle?
What a shameless, promiscuous woman!
Victoria was about to explode with anger.
The motorcycle flew like a bolt of lightning, as if leaving everything in the world behind—troubles, and especially, those old women.
Natalie said, "Who are you? Thank you for helping me back there. You can let me off now."
"Let you off? I'd suggest you hold on tight. Otherwise, if you fall off, you're going to... kick the bucket!"
The man's voice was clear but held an intimidating edge. Who was he?
But she was on his motorcycle now; she couldn't make any sudden moves.
"Where are you taking me?"
"You're pretty, probably worth a bit. I'm going to sell you!"

Time for Marie to get her end, this has gone on way too long, time to move on. It’s getting boring....
Payback time. Waiting for chapters 321 onwards!...
I love the sarcastic comebacks. Quite amusing!...
