Caught Him Cheating My Life Restarted (Natalie) novel Chapter 261

"And it happened at just the right time, didn't it?"

Terence refused to admit he was faking. His legs had lost all feeling, and while he used to not care, now he wanted to stand again.

Only by standing could he properly shelter her from the storms of the world.

Natalie decided not to expose him. If he hadn't shown up, she would still be stuck dealing with Darren.

"What happened to Darren's ear?" she asked.

"Do you care about him?"

There was a chill in Terence's eyes. Was it her imagination, or did he sound jealous?

"Not really. I'm just curious."

Natalie genuinely wanted to know how Terence had managed to injure Darren.

Just then, Terence flicked his finger. A silver needle shot from his hand and embedded itself in the wall.

The force required to drive a needle into a wall like that was immense.

It was like something out of a legend.

Natalie was stunned. She never knew Terence was so skilled.

"That's amazing."

"Want to see more?"

She nodded vigorously. Terence flicked several more needles in quick succession, forming a perfect heart on the wall.

Natalie barely registered the heart shape; she was too mesmerized by his skill. There was no device in his hand, just a flick of his fingers, yet he could launch those needles with such speed and precision.

Terence demonstrated up close, and Natalie could feel the force and airflow as the needle shot out.

"Your hand is injured, so you can't practice yet. But you can sit here and watch my technique first."

He was leaning in close, practically holding her in a tight embrace.

His cheek brushed against hers, and the warmth of his skin made her feel even more flustered.

"Never mind, I... I don't want to learn..."

She tried to stand again, but Terence's grip remained firm.

Noticing her unease, Terence said, "What's wrong? Are you embarrassed because we're so close? Right now, I'm your teacher. My mind is only on the lesson, not on us as a man and a woman. It's like you said, in a doctor's eyes, gender doesn't matter."

As he spoke, the hand around her waist tightened.
