Caught Him Cheating My Life Restarted (Natalie) novel Chapter 448

Grace Lockwood’s hands trembled with rage. Mrs. Lockwood stepped forward, her voice sharp. “You insolent brat, watch your mouth! Do you know who you’re talking to? Nothing but filth comes out of that mouth of yours. I should have your teeth pulled!”

Mrs. Lockwood couldn’t stand to see her mother-in-law being insulted. How dare this upstart upset her.

Simon feigned fear. “Shouldn’t family reunions be tearful and emotional? Why are you all so aggressive? No matter what, I’m still of Lockwood blood.”

“Shameless! Get out!” Grace Lockwood roared.

Simon remained unbothered, a smug look on his face. “Old lady, aren’t you the least bit curious that my grandfather is still alive?”

“I may be old, but I’m not senile! Do you think I wouldn’t know whether my own husband is dead or alive? I won’t let an imposter like you confuse the issue. Get out!”

Grace wanted to expel Simon again. She desperately wanted to know the truth, but not here, not like this!

Jason Hayes spoke up. “Madam, I don’t think you should throw him out. There aren’t many of us old-timers left at the Lockwood Group, but we still care deeply for the young master. As his wife, shouldn’t you want to hear about his situation?”

So that was it. These old fossils who hadn’t shown their faces in years were suddenly here for this. They had come prepared.

Terence’s gaze darkened.

“Is the master really still alive?”

“It’s been fifty years. Can we really see the master again?”

“Young man, please tell us, is our master truly alive? Are you really his grandson?”

And now, she was being told that her husband was fine, that for the past fifty years he had been living happily with another woman, enjoying a life of love, with countless children and grandchildren!

What did that make her life of hardship?

Grace was on the verge of breaking down, but she wouldn’t let anyone see it.

“You have a good imagination, young man. But the Lockwood Group is in a meeting today. We don’t have time to listen to your ghost stories. Security, get him out of here!”

Grace told herself it was impossible. Her husband couldn’t be alive. He wouldn’t have ignored the Lockwood family for so many years. She was the matriarch of the Lockwood family, and she would not be deceived!

“Old Mrs. Lockwood, why do you say I’m telling ghost stories? You never found my grandfather’s body, did you?”
