Mrs. Lockwood was speechless. At this point, she truly wished the Lockwood ancestors would come back to life. Someone needed to deal with this old scumbag who abandoned his wife and child for fifty years only to return with his illegitimate descendants to fight for the family fortune.
"It would be for the best if the ancestors did come back."
While the ancestors hadn't returned, this old bastard's "resurrection" was truly disgusting.
Edgar said sternly, "All of you, listen closely. I will not allow the president of the Lockwood Group to be disabled, nor will I tolerate a mute descendant. Therefore, Terence, you will step down as president of the Lockwood Group immediately. If you do, I will allow you to remain in the Lockwood estate. If you insist on clinging to the position, I will have you all thrown out of the family."
Mrs. Lockwood couldn't believe it. This old bastard was going too far!
"Sir, the Lockwood Group didn't even exist when you were part of this family. It was built with the blood, sweat, and tears of my mother-in-law, my husband, and my son. How dare you bring your illegitimate grandson here to just take it?"
The person who truly had authority over the Lockwood family, and by extension the Lockwood Group, wasn't this old scoundrel, but her mother-in-law, Grace Lockwood.
"Are you implying that I don't have the authority, that only Grace does?"
"It's common knowledge that the Lockwood Group was founded by my mother-in-law, Grace Lockwood, a visionary entrepreneur of her generation. Of course, only she has the right to make this decision!"
Mrs. Lockwood glared at Edgar. She would not let this old bastard's illegitimate grandson steal the Lockwood Group.
Her husband would be the first to rise from his grave in anger.
Simon chimed in, "You're so arrogant. How dare you speak to my grandfather like that?"
Edgar commanded, "Go and get your grandmother."
"Yes, sir."
Mrs. Lockwood's brow furrowed. His grandmother? What a joke. Since when was her mother-in-law his grandmother?
"What's going on? Why is everyone gathered here?" Grace Lockwood asked as she approached.
Mrs. Lockwood was about to step forward and explain the situation to Grace, but Edgar beat her to it, moving to Grace's side.
Mrs. Lockwood's eyes were wide. Even hearing it a second time, she couldn't believe these words were coming from her mother-in-law.
"Mom, what are you talking about?"
How was this possible? Had her mother-in-law lost her mind? Oh, right, she had Alzheimer's.
But this was still beyond belief!
How could her mother-in-law willingly hand over the Lockwood Group to a mistress's grandson?
This was insane!
"Mom, think carefully. How can the presidency of the Lockwood Group go to Simon? He's..."
Before Mrs. Lockwood could finish, Simon, standing by Grace's side, spoke in a gentle, filial tone. "Grandma, it's windy out here. Why didn't you put on another layer? I'd be heartbroken if you caught a cold."

Time for Marie to get her end, this has gone on way too long, time to move on. It’s getting boring....
Payback time. Waiting for chapters 321 onwards!...
