Natalie arrived at the Lockwood estate wanting to see Lucas, but she was stopped at the gate by a security guard.

"Who are you? You can't just show up and expect to see our young master."

"Your young master left something with me. I'd like to return it to him."

Natalie held out the gold pendant. The guard scoffed. "Trying to get in with a piece of fake gold? Let me tell you, we get people trying to worm their way into the Lockwood family all the time. Get lost."

Natalie was speechless. The guard clearly thought she was some kind of gold digger.

Since she couldn't get in, she figured she would just have to wait until she saw the boy again to return it.
