Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 413

Anyone lucky enough to see that portrait knew Philip Beaufort was a man of unparalleled, breathtaking beauty. His elegant, commanding gaze was impossible for any artist to truly capture.

Amadis had seen the grand painting in the main hall many times. He knew his own looks paled in comparison to his great-grandfather. But there was one member of the royal family who bore a striking seventy-percent resemblance.

He turned, dropping into an empty chair with an indignant huff. "At the end of the day, Grandma is just playing favorites."

Knowing exactly who he was talking about, the Princess's expression grew solemn. "How many times have I told you? You cannot speak of that so carelessly."

"It's just you and me here. Why can't I?" Amadis shot back. "I seriously don't understand what Grandma is thinking. Why is she delaying the announcement of the heir? Great. My oldest and youngest uncles are both dead. Our cousin's faction must be throwing a massive party right now."

The Queen had an older brother, Prince Killian. Had their father not overwhelmingly favored his daughter, Killian would have been the monarch.

After losing the throne, Killian spiraled into a life of hedonism and debauchery. His only real hobby was fathering children.

He was even more reckless than his father. Though he died young, he left behind a sprawling lineage of illegitimate heirs. The most powerful of these was Prince Lyre, whom the public practically worshipped as the second coming of the beloved Prince Maximilian.

The "cousin" Amadis referred to was this very faction.

"I told Grandma that my uncle's death was probably Lyre's doing. She wouldn't listen to a single word. She just kicked me out," Amadis grumbled.

"If she didn't kick you out, were you planning to stay in the main hall and spout more treason?" Boudica rubbed her temples. "Do you have any idea how catastrophic it is that you bombed an Athelvia port? If this triggers a war between our nations, even the Queen won't be able to protect you! Worse, I'll be dragged down with you and stripped of my right to the throne."

But the world was vast. How could a mere infant have survived endless waves of assassins?

Continuing the search was nothing more than the Queen clinging to false hope.

Remembering her god-like brother, Boudica glared at Amadis with renewed disappointment.

"The Athelvia delegation arrives next month. Every royal family member is required to attend. I'm warning you now, if you show up to that banquet with that silver hair, I will take your head off."
