Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 605

Vivienne stayed home to cook a loving dinner, while Moira went out to buy an insane amount of scented candles.

But neither of them could have predicted that Plan A would go so horribly wrong, with Vivienne nearly burning down the entire kitchen. But it didn't matter—they had Plan B.

Vivienne had deliberately used the burn ointment as an excuse to keep Cyril in his bedroom, buying Moira enough time to set the perfect romantic scene.

But during their little chat, Vivienne realized the entire premise of her plan was completely busted. Cyril Bean had magically cured his own phobia. What a complete disaster!

She had rushed out to tell Moira to abort the mission, but it was far too late.

The flickering candle flames created a blinding sea of light, completely illuminating the dark apartment like a glowing galaxy. But Vivienne didn't feel an ounce of romance right now; she just felt like her retinas were being burned out of her skull.

Seriously! Was Moira part octopus? She had only been in there for a few minutes. How the hell did she manage to light hundreds of candles?!

This was a nightmare! Vivienne threw a panicked glance down the hallway and scrambled into the living room, frantically blowing out the flames.

Cyril Bean wasn't even scared of fire anymore. This absurd setup would do absolutely nothing except prove that she was a complete idiot!

"Phew, phew, phew!"

"What are you doing?"

Vivienne was currently sprawled over the coffee table, aggressively blowing at a cluster of wicks. She froze instantly, then casually straightened up as if nothing had happened.

"Oh, the power went out. Moira lit all these candles, but it's a bit much, don't you think?"

Cyril stood at the entrance of the hallway, his gaze locked intensely onto her.

The living room was completely overrun by candlelight. The floor-to-ceiling windows reflected the warm orange glow, bathing the entire space in radiant light.

And she was the brightest light of all.

Vivienne tugged awkwardly at her collar, feeling a little lightheaded from blowing so fiercely.

"Too many candles. It's eating up all the oxygen. You really need to talk to Moira about being so wasteful."

With that, she feigned a nonchalant glance in his direction. "I'm exhausted. I'm going to bed."

She grumpily blew out the candles lining the piano and faked a yawn as she shuffled toward the hallway.

God, she really hated it when he looked so damn smug.

A sudden rush of adrenaline hit Vivienne's brain. Without thinking, she threw one arm around his neck, stood on her tiptoes, and planted a swift, feathery kiss right on his cheek.

Ding.

Cyril's eyelashes fluttered as the playful amusement in his eyes was instantly swallowed by something much darker.

[Congratulations! Treasure Plot, Palpitation Chapter: "Saving the Little Stray" has been triggered...]

She actually did it!

Vivienne stared blankly for a second before silently celebrating her accidental victory. She had been racking her brain trying to figure out how to push his heart-rate meter over the edge. In her sheer frustration, she had impulsively decided to just double down—if he was already misunderstanding the situation, she might as well lean into it and make things incredibly chaotic for the both of them.

She never expected that stupidly reckless move to actually clear the mission.

She was a complete genius!
