Vivienne froze, her eyes wide with shock.
How could this happen?
Before she died in her past life, Damien had been perfectly fine. Had she altered the timeline so drastically that other people's fates were now shifting?
A wave of complex emotions washed over her. "What about Bianca? Is she okay?"
Regardless of the bad blood between the Whitmore family and the Ravenshires, Damien was still Bianca's biological father. This would break her.
"The Whitmore family sent word," Caspian explained. "They want Bianca to attend the funeral and walk as a pallbearer. She has already agreed."
Vivienne nodded slowly. Knowing Bianca, she would definitely want to see him one last time, no matter what.
Seeing Vivienne entirely consumed with concern for her friend, Caspian sighed heavily. "Vivienne, about your adoption..."
"I understand." She offered a soft smile. "It's fine. Really."
Caspian looked at her open, untroubled expression. She didn't harbor an ounce of resentment. "You are exactly like your grandmother."
Vivienne was slightly taken aback. This was the second time he had openly mentioned Cynthia Lexton.
Noticing her surprise, Caspian gave a wistful smile. "Do you want to hear the story about me and your grandmother?"
