Serious trouble?
Who in Stormhollow Deepwater Port had a death wish to mess with Mina?
Curiosity piqued, Vivienne started to stand, but Bianca grabbed her arm. "Stay here. Aurelia and I will handle it."
Aurelia threw her coat back on without a word.
This was Ravenshire territory, teeming with high-society brats. Between Bianca and Aurelia, there was nothing they couldn't crush. Satisfied, Vivienne stretched lazily and sat back down.
Aurelia looked at the manager. "Where?"
The manager immediately led the way.
The second floor consisted of private entertainment suites wrapped around a sleek, curved lounge bar. A massive crowd of young elites had gathered by the bar, cliqued up in their respective groups. Only Mina stood entirely alone in the center.
"Mina!" Bianca shoved her way through the crowd, stepping protectively in front of her friend.
Mina shook her head, silently signaling she was okay.
Aurelia swept her cold gaze over the onlookers. "What happened?"
The manager lowered his voice. "Miss Cavanaugh's Ancestral Brooch went missing. Hera happened to be standing right next to her. When Miss Cavanaugh asked a few questions, Hera felt insulted, and things escalated."
Hera was an aristocratic exchange student from Solenforth. Jade Cavanaugh was the fifth daughter of the newly-minted Cavanaugh family and Julian Ravenshire's cousin.
"What does any of this have to do with Mina?" Aurelia demanded.
The manager looked pained. "The one causing the problem is the girl in the middle. She is Hera's friend. She suddenly claimed her Ancestral Buddha Amulet went missing too, ordered her guards to lock down the bar area, and is demanding to strip-search everyone."
A strip-search?
