Preston frowned. "Kael."
"Stay out of this!" Kael shoved Preston's arm away.
He was completely consumed by rage. He had just stepped outside to take a phone call, only for Vivienne's men to ambush and beat him to a pulp without a word. If he didn't exact revenge right here and now, how could he ever show his face in Stormhollow again?
The moment Kael yelled, the wall of bodyguards behind Vivienne took a synchronized, menacing step forward.
"What? You think you can scare me? Bring it on! Let's see who dies today!"
Completely fearless, Kael whipped out his phone to call for backup.
"Kael."
Preston's face was thunderous as he yanked him back. Kael tried to break free, but Preston was entirely out of patience. He grabbed the back of Kael's neck and practically threw him into Josslyn.
"Keep him quiet."
Kael staggered, totally bewildered. Just as he was about to argue, Preston shot him a look so terrifyingly cold that Kael froze. Reality crashed over him, and he turned to glare at Vivienne in absolute resentment.
Preston blocked the space between them. "You got your hits in. If you're still not satisfied, tell me exactly what you want."
Vivienne’s tone was deadly calm. "Who swiped my card? I want them brought to me. Right now."
Preston's expression shifted slightly. He let his gaze drift over the sheer number of armed men backing her. "Now?"
Vivienne stared right back. "Now."
"Fine." He turned and pointed toward the sleek glass penthouse at the very top of the club. "Wait for me up there?"
Vivienne let out a derisive scoff. "Jasper."
Jasper stepped forward, took the floral umbrella from one of the guards, and effortlessly lifted the entire wheelchair with one hand—as if it weighed no more than a stroller—carrying her steadily toward the clubhouse.
The group watched Vivienne's arrogant departure, their teeth grinding in sheer frustration. They all ran in the same elite circles; how could she humiliate them so absolutely?
