The smirk on Kael's face froze instantly. He stared at Vivienne as if she were a lunatic.

This girl was seriously unhinged. She was actually ordering a hit on her own biological mother.

Preston raised a brow. "I don't need money. Make it another offer."

Vivienne shook her head, lifting her foot to lightly kick Kael. "If he won't do it, you do it."

Kael bristled instantly, looking at her like she was an idiot. "Why the hell would I do it? I don't need money either."

"You might not need the money," Vivienne said smoothly, "but don't forget, I have your secret. If you don't do this, I'll march right back and tell your father all about your lucrative little side business."

Kael ground his teeth, completely unwilling to yield. "Ten million to make me a murderer? Bullshit! No way!"

Vivienne frowned. "Who told you to kill anyone? I want a fake-out. Your Hellcat Crew loves extreme stunts, right? Floor the gas, drive straight at her, and scare her."

Kael let out an exasperated laugh, nudging Preston with his elbow. "She's mocking us."

"It's a decent name," Preston replied smoothly. "Didn't you always want to start an underground ring like the Ravenshires' Shadow Chamber? Just call it the Hellcat Crew."

"Fuck!" Kael's face contorted with fury. That was his top-secret life goal, and this bastard just casually leaked it? In front of a Ravenshire?

"Are you going or not?" Vivienne pressed.

Kael swallowed his rage. "I'm not going."

Vivienne nodded. "Fine. We burn together, then." With that, she moved to wheel herself away.

Kael's eye twitched. Without thinking, he stuck his foot out to block the wheel. "Why do we have to burn together? Vivienne, are you completely unreasonable?"
