Not even Isabella herself understood why she ended up slapping Alexander. Maybe it was because he had confessed his feelings for her out of the blue. Or perhaps it was because he had said that she and Theodore would divorce eventually.
Whatever the reason, that slap caught both her and Alexander in a daze. In the end, she turned tail and fled.
When it was almost time to get off work, notifications from Vivian kept pinging nonstop. Isabella tapped into her conversation with Vivian, only to see her furious rants filling the screen. She scrolled upward swiftly and had a brief look at her messages.
The artist named SunnyBite had created a fuss on the internet yet again. She posted a photo of her so-called "mentor", who was also known as Glamoore. The photo was one of a young woman with big, round eyes, someone who would be considered adorable.
She had light pink hair that was casually tied up into pigtails, and her eyes were a dazzling amber. The cute, yellow dress she had on was paired with white, knee-length socks and round-toe leather shoes, giving her an appearance similar to that of an angel you'd see in cartoons.
Isabella wasn't sure how to react.
Isabella: "She claims that this is Glamoore?"
Vivian: "Exactly! She even tagged Glamoore, asking her to post a photo of herself to prove her claim. What do you think she's trying to do?"
Isabella checked her own account. As expected, things had blown up on the backend too.
However, she remained calm as she replied to Vivian with a smile. "She's not bad. She's pretty cute."
At one glance, one could tell that SunnyBite read comics. Frankly speaking, judging by her appearance, she looked more like Glamoore than Isabella herself.
Vivian: "So what if she's cute? Plus, the Glamoore I have in mind doesn't look like this."
It was obvious that Vivian was extremely dissatisfied with this supposed Glamoore.
Vivian: "It doesn't matter what Glamoore looks like. We're fans of Glamoore because of their talent. This woman is clearly pushing our dear Glamoore into a corner. Even though I'm also quite curious about Glamoore's appearance, I won't be as crafty as this woman."
Vivian: "I'm going to give her a good dressing down. True fans would never do something like this!"
Isabella: "Are you sure that the woman in the photo isn't Glamoore? There isn't even a single photo of Glamoore that's been verified."
Vivian: "Of course. Glamoore has always kept a low profile even though they've been famous for such a long time. If they wanted to become famous on the internet, they would've done so a long time ago."
Vivian: "Yet, they've always only proven themselves through their works. But just look at SunnyBite. Ever since she appeared, she has been acting up in all sorts of ways. That's not reminiscent of Glamoore at all."
Isabella: "I can tell that you're a true fan."
Vivian: "Of course. I've gathered a few true fans to go against SunnyBite. We'll be Glamoore's strongest support!"
All along, Glamoore had never bothered to deal with SunnyBite, so their true fans had been holding themselves back for a really long time. Now that Glamoore had stepped forward and given a response, those fans who had been wavering were all back.
Vivian was moved to tears, forwarding heaps of comments from Glamoore's true fans to Glamoore. Even onlookers would be touched to read these comments.
Vivian: "Bella, this is my very first time having so much love for someone's work. How could I allow others to slander Glamoore? I certainly can't!"
Vivian: "Who would ever want to see that woman in that cute outfit? I love Glamoore no matter what they look like!"
Isabella welled up, unsure of what to say. She had never received so much love, not even when she was a child. That said, being loved by so many actually made her panic a little.
She was afraid that she'd disappoint everyone and that she wouldn't be good enough. That was why she had been keeping her identity hidden all these years. But how could she possibly keep her true identity hidden forever?
Right at this moment, her editor sent her a message. It read, "It seems like you're interested in stepping into the limelight. Since this is the case, would you like to meet with the director of Nexa? I've always rejected her on your behalf because you were unwilling to meet with her even though she's gotten people to reach out to me on multiple occasions."
Isabella: "Nexa? Isn't that a company from overseas? I know about them. They're pretty famous. A number of the art exhibitions they've organized were very well-received."
Editor: "That's right. So, would you like to meet with them?"
