Chosen Just To Be Rejected by Jennifer Francis novel Chapter 121

Bella

She’d calmed herself down after the complete shock of feeling the mate bond sparks on her skin had worn off, told herself that her emotions were still all over the place and the sensation of feeling them with Parker once more had just overwhelmed her.

That not having felt real emotions for 36 years, she was still trying to deal with them, and that she’d just completely freaked out over the thought of it, was all. Because she wasn’t at all expecting to feel Mate Bond sparks with Parker once more, she’d not scented him out in that moment, when he’d come into the room, and why would she? It wasn’t a full moon, so it had caught her completely off guard when she’d felt

it; that was all.

She’d had to remember she was more level-headed than that. She’d also realised that Parker himself hadn’t felt them at all, because if he had, he’d have likely smiled right at her and tried to lay claim to her…. No, he would have laid claim to her. Seeing as that was his actual intent even without a mate bond

between them.

So, she pulled herself together and accepted it for what it was. Parker was going to be her Goddess-Gifted Mate come the full moon. She already knew that he wanted her, so he wasn’t going to reject her when he

realised what she was to him. He was now her Mate; he just didn’t know it.

Parker was her Goddess-Gifted; she thought about that, and she knew it was actually what she wanted, for

not only herself but her wolf, a Goddess-Gifted. That had been the very reason she’d told him she didn’t

want to be his chosen mate again.

It was something she’d never thought she’d ever have because Freya had told her she had no Mate. But

Freya wasn’t actually her wolf, and now she understood so much more about her own life. It was just that

Freya didn’t have a Mate, which was very sad in Bella’s eyes. How could the moon goddess herself not

have a Mate? How was that possible or had something terrible happened to him?

She shook those thoughts off and let them go because she and Venus did have a Mate; and it was Parker

r and Vex.

A man that she knew, who was in fact trustworthy, he’d been faithful to her for eight long years, he was the

father of her child, and he’d climbed into her bed all the time, every other night in fact. He’d never been

selfish about his attention on her, not once in the entire time they had been mated to each other. Not even

that first time, he’d been gentle and taken it slow, brought pleasure to her and hadn’t hurt her.

He’d always made sure she enjoyed his company in that bedroom, and she had. He’d wanted to hear her cry out in pleasure and know he was pleasing her. Sating all her needs every time, and he never left until she was asleep, settled and pleasantly exhausted by him.

He’d always stayed until she’d fallen asleep, she realised; she’d never really looked at it like that before. She’d always just seen it as he left before she’d woken up, not as he’d always stayed in the bed, with his

arms around her or held her to his body until she fell asleep draped over him; which she now realised he’d done every single time. She never once saw him leave, she’d always fallen asleep with him right there next

to her, holding her.

She thought a lot about Parker that afternoon all the years they were mated to each other and everything since coming across him once more, being here with him now, trying to sort out her own feelings; not something she’d ever had to do before. She sat and played cards with Whit and Milly and a board game too. Then she smiled at Whit, at one point, her thoughts clear in her mind as she finally understood herself, though he looked a little unhappy to her.

“Whit, why don’t you and Milly have dinner with your dad tonight.” She stated.

He looked at her and stated “Why?” simply.

“Because you’ve been with me all afternoon and I think he’d like that. Spending time with you and Milly is something he seems to enjoy doing, and he’s your dad. I know you want to.” she told him honestly.

Whit’s eyes moved towards Milly questioningly, and she leaned over and hugged him. “It’ll be good for her too, Whit. She’s bonding to Parker well, don’t you think.” And her little girl had done just that, because Parker treated Milly no differently to how he treated Whitney. He had told her he would accept Milly as his,

bleed her to him even, and she knew that he would.

Parker didn’t lie, he was even going to give her a pack to run when she grew up, one of the subsidiary

packs, because he already saw her as his daughter, she now realised. He didn’t just want Whit, but her and
