She took the file held out to her from Alpha Gretta and opened it. There in it were all the emails going back and forth between Alpha Gretta and not only Parker but Carina as well. Gretta had emailed both of them, it seemed. She sat and read through them, curious as to what had been said, curious as to why he wouldn’t want her pup with him. Not only had he wanted one, but their pup would be pure–blooded and his and his new mate’s wouldn’t be. She was, from recollection, only Beta–blooded.
It appeared that Carina had received the sss first and responded to it prior to Parker, but Bella could see the original sss had been sent to both of them, so that they were both informed at the same time. There were not going to be any secrets from either the Alpha or Luna of that pack about her pup, it seemed. Carina’s response had been.
“Alpha Gretta,
Thank you for informing me of this burdensome news. Parker is not inside the pack currently, away in another pack attending allied assistance. I will have to talk with my Mate, Parker, when he gets home. And get back to you as to what we will be doing about the illegitimate, bastard pup with his former Mate… are
you certain that it is his?

Bella sighed as she read it. She was not wrong; Carina would hate the pup she was carrying, and was
already calling it a bastard. She flipped to the next sss.
“Luna Carina,
Belladonna Harrington is 12 days along at this point in time. She was faithful to her Mate, and the math has been attended to. The conception date was the last time Belladonna and Parker had sexual relations.
Belladonna has stated that, that was the morning before he went to attend that mating ball, in which he scented you out. Belladonna has stated that Parker did knot her that morning, and talked about having a pup with her. So yes, the pup is considered to be Alpha Parker Hartly’s pup. Conceived within their mate
bond.
A legitimate heir to his pack due to its conception being within the mate bond, refrain yourself from calling the pup a bastard, or you may find myself on your pack’s doorstep for the insult.
Have your Mate contact me regarding what he wants to do, the minute he gets back for pack assistance, keep yourself in check. I do understand it is upsetting news for you, it was just as shocking for Belladonna herself, and she is simply trying to do the right thing by her previous Mate, according to their mating
alliance.

“Beta–blooded, I don’t know her ascension rank,” Bella shook her head “She could have siblings above her.”
“Likely does.” Gretta nodded “Read on”
Bella turned to the next sss and read yet again Carina’s response.
“Alpha Gretta,
I did not mean to upset you or infer an insult to Parker’s pup. My apologies that was simply my bad. I was shocked by the news. Please do excuse me, that was how I was raised. To believe of pups created outside a mated bond, I will endeavour to mend my ways.
I will make certain Parker is informed the minute he comes back into the pack, have him contact you
directly.

Then there was an sss from Parker, two days later.
“Alpha Gretta,
My Luna Carina is currently with pup herself, I do apologise on her behalf for her not so nice words, and I have had words with her regarding her attitude. My Mate and Luna is young and unhappy with this turn of events; as you could well imagine. We have discussed it at length; which child will be considered the heir
