Bella
She walked into Alpha Aston’s office after doing her rounds, and getting coffee from the pack’s dining room, she arrived dead on 9am. The door was closed, and she could see several Alphas sitting around. She knocked on the door and stepped in when asked to, “Aston is this meeting affecting your day with your allied alphas?”
“No, Bell, the full moon isn’t until tonight, so it’s fine, they’re just sitting around chatting and allowing their wolves to socialise with the others here, that is all that happens the day of the full moon.”
“Alright.” She nodded “I just didn’t want your day to be interrupted
“It’s not.” Aston smiled at her.
She looked around the room and not only were Aston and Mala in here, but Simon, the pack’s Beta, as well as Parker and his entire unit. Those four were all seated on one of the couches before Aston’s desk.
Mala was sitting in a single but comfortable tub chair, and she tapped the one next to her, when Bella smiled at her and greeted her, indicating that was where she was to sit, in this room.
Aston and Simon were both leaning casually up against Aston’s desk, facing them all, likely showing the room that his position was going to be a bystander. That he was here to listen to all that was about to go on, and only actually intervene, if it he thought it was necessary.
It was likely that Mala was the one that was going to preside over this meeting they were about to have. Which was why she was sitting here with her and Parker, his unit. She also knew Aston liked watching his Luna in action.
Bella nodded to Parker and his unit as she sat down “Hello.” She stated simply and saw Shannon tilt hiş head slightly. She knew it was him as the actual Gamma, he was going to be switched on for this meeting.
And only now did Bella realise that he had been the same yesterday, had been all Gamma when talking to her, he’d walked over to her with Parker for a reason she now understood, to ask al those questions about children, understood with that tilt of his head right now that yesterday he’d been trying to sense her out, for Parker.
Ah! She thought to herself, Parker must have seen Whit and the other children heading off to that birthday party but hadn’t been face to face with him, likely only seen him in passing, and hadn’t been able to pick his child among the others from the orphanage that would have been with him.
Shannon’s questions had been on purpose to try and get her to think about Parkers‘ child, she now realised. She looked right at Shannon now. “I’m not your concern anymore, Shannon. You don’t need to feel me out.” She told him simply, “I’m healthy and happy in my life here, in all of my life since I left Lustrous Moon. Just in case, you need to know that as a Gamma.”
She saw Mala look from her to Shannon and frown “If I want a Gamma to feel out my pack member.” Mala interrupted them “I’ll call Charlie into this room. Let it go Gamma.” Mala directed at Shannon.
She watched Shannon took to Mala, and Mala leaned forward slightly in her chair to stare at him, though there was a smile on her face. “You’ll want to listen to me, this is not your Alpha’s pack.” Mala stated, and Bella watched Shannon just nod, and sit back in his chair.
Though she doubted he had switched himself off completely as a Gamma, he was just not going to actively focus on her for the moment, likely sit there and feel out everything in this room instead. Shannon had been a good Gamma to her, and she’d liked him as a person.
No one inside the Lustrous Moon had been mean or nasty to her. Parker’s unit had always been respectful and if she was having an off day, and Shannon picked up on it, he’d always asked her what was wrong and offered his charm up for the use.
Bella smiled at Mala, who leaned back and settled in her chair, before stating, “I’m here as your Luna, Bell. In full capacity.”
Bella nodded, she’d already been warned by Aston “Thank you, Luna, but I doubt that will be at all necessary. I’m not concerned about things getting out of hand. Or about anything coming from this meeting either.” she turned her eyes to Parker himself; he’d been watching her the entire time, she could feel his eyes on her, though he’d not interrupted them at all, likely assessing the situation, her mood, she supposed.
“You wanted to speak with me, Alpha Parker?” she asked him directly to get this meeting underway.
“Yes.” He stated, “I scented out my own kin, yesterday.” He told her.
“Did you? And what concern of mine is that?” she asked right back.
“Belladonna?” he sounded frustrated to her.
