Bella

Aston looked at her and shrugged, then connected a mind–link to her, Mala and Simon ‘Like I said Bella, I’m actually curious.‘ He stated down it ‘something feels off to me.

‘Even I’m getting the feeling he doesn’t know, Mala commented, ‘and his annoyance and anger appeared real over this and your reaction to him, that being, your uncaring attitude about it, is notching that up in him even.

‘It does kind of feel like he was in the dark, and had no knowledge of his child.’ Aston murmured ‘This is why I allowed the meeting to go ahead. Simon and I both picked that up last night. He is confused, I think, about you and him having a child. It’s a full curiosity. Aston stated. I’d like to see where he goes with this.

Bell?‘

‘He’s got to be playing dumb or…maybe one too many hits to the head and got some memory loss‘ Bella stated.

She heard Mala snort full amused at her words, she also knew that Parker and his unit knew they were holding a private conversation between the four of them. She was released from it and looked at him, he didn’t look too happy about being excluded from it, actually look annoyed on the verge of being in a temper, she thought.

“I still don’t see an issue.” She told him.

She saw more annoyance but then watched him rein it in and take a breath, count to ten she thought, before he spoke, “That child is my heir, Belladonna/You know yourself I wanted that with you. For us to have a child together.”

“Mm, I did.” She agreed, and he had, though that last sss he’d denied that, made it out as though she’d read that into their relationship, but it had also been one of the last things he’d said to her prior to him leaving and meeting Carina.

Now she wondered if he’d written that in there just to try and appease his Goddess–Giffed who was pregnant, to keep her happy and put less stress on her, or have her direct anger at him.

She wouldn’t argue about it. “He is my heir now, and my son is happy and well–adjusted, likes living here.” she told him honestly and Whit was happy, loved living with all those other kids.

“We had a detailed mating alliance, with a pups‘ clause in it,” Parker stated flatly.

“We did.” She acknowledged and sipped her coffee once more, “I didn’t breach it.” she stated and nearly laughed at his more than annoyed expression, ‘yes play that card it’ll get you nowhere‘ she thought to herself amusingly, not only had she checked it, so had the Wolfen Council.

Though her amusement wasn’t just at him, Freya was sitting up inside of her mind, chortling, also amused by this turn of events ‘I think you’re right, one too many hits to that head of his, he’s forgotten the

“You never asked, not unce if the pup was a boy or a girl. Didn’t care to know is how I recall it.She countered.

“How the hell could ask when I didn’t bloody know.” He snarled at her.

“Oh, come on Parker, you were informed before he was born. So, don’t go yelling at me about that, that is on you. It’s not my fault if you don’t recall, be warned, Alpha Parker, Freya is more than annoyed with your aggression and doesn’t like your tone right this very minute.” –

She saw him blink at those words, and he was just staring at her. She wasn’t sure if it was the threat of Freya or her telling him he’d been informed.

“When did you inform me?” he stated, reining in his temper once more, though there was still full annoyance to be heard in his voice.

“Like I just said, before he was even born. A few days after I found out.”

“Don’t lie to me, Belladonna. I think I would recall that.” Parker frowned at her.

“Yeş, one would think you would.” She nodded, didn’t understand why he didn’t remember. “But I’d say you were to wrapped up in your love bubble with Carina, your Goddess–Gifted.”

His jaw was ticking now, and she watched his eyes move to Aston. “I’d like to meet my son.” He stated, clearly having had enough of dealing with her.

“That’s going to be difficult, I’m afraid, Alpha Parker,” Aston stated. “How about you go home and dig out your mating alliance and separation agreement and then come back with them for another discussion.”

“I’ll just call Alpha Gretta, Aston.” Bella interrupted them. “She can deal with this, said she would if it ever happened.”

“Alpha Gretta? As in…” Parker’s words trailed off, and she could see his brain ticking now. She knew he would know there was an Alpha Gretta on the Alpha Council.

She looked at him now, perhaps there was actually more going on here than anyone understood. “Alpha Gretta of the Wolfen Council,” she clarified, to him, seeing as he seemed to want that, “I went to work for

r them when I left the pack.” she told him.

He stared at her more than shocked now. Had he forgotten that as well? Or was there indeed something

else going on?

No, I raised my heir, you have no claim on him.” She repeated herself.

Bella nodded because in part he was right, those words were in it. “You might want to go home and read the fine print on that clause” she smiled at him. “Because I believe it reads that all pups born inside of the mate bond, were to be relinquished to you…” she paused for a moment to let him think about it, let them all think about that. “My child, however, was born outside of the mate bond, therefore, is mine and not yours. If you wish to play that card, you’ll not win, I assure you.” She told him.
