Parker
He sat in his office after Belladonna had left and thought about what she had just told him; she didn’t have any connection with anyone at all, bar Whit and Milly, and she put it down to Freya, her own wolf.
It could well be just that, if her wolf had never socialised with any of those here inside the pack, then no connection had been established with any of them, she’d become antisocial, so to speak… his own wolf had never been allowed to see her or mate her, she couldn’t be called out by just anyone.
Freya and whatever type of wolf she was, likely had a destiny of her own, one that probably didn’t involve being mated to any other out there in the world. Perhaps things would have been different if that wasn’t the case. Maybe they could have had a proper mate bond and come to truly love each other.
Belladonna wasn’t currently distant from him, or he didn’t think so. She was sitting and talking with him every day, accepting coffee from him, or having a meal with him, or them. She was allowing that this evening. A dinner just for him and her, the two children, in the private dining room. She had just nodded when he asked if she and the children would join him. Hadn’t rejected it, didn’t look to even consider rejecting it.
They could get along, and easily so, she’d not shied away from him hugging her either, just smiled at him. Told him she’d never hated him. That was good to hear; a relief. There was room to move and try to start building a connection if it could be done.
Though her not having connections to any others, that bothered him because it meant even now, here in the present, she still couldn’t likely do that. So could it be any different between them? If he asked her out? Or would it just remain the same?
That bothered him quite a bit as he sat and thought about it. If he told her he loved her, and she agreed to become his mate once more, and she was still completely indifferent to him, would he be able to handle that? Not even he knew the answer to that question. It would also mean that Vex would go back to not having a wolfen mate that cared at all to be with him.

Wouldn’t want to run with him, wouldn’t want to talk with him or interact in anyway, wouldn’t even allow herself to be seen by him, ‘Vex?‘ he asked his wolf.
‘Love Belladonna. Vex stated simply,
‘But Freya. Parker pushed a little still concerned.
‘Was never mine, will never be. Vex told him ‘I know that. His beast sounded resigned to the idea of it.
‘It’s not nice for you though! Parker murmured.
‘Bella never objected to me mating her in human form. Wouldn’t object again.‘ Vex told him.
“No, I suppose not… if we can get back to that, of course‘
Claim
‘She likes it here… though…
Though‘ Parker prompted even though he had a feeling he knew what Vex was going to say, his beast had been quietly watching her for the past six months, trying Parker thought, to figure her out himself.
‘Freya hardly there now, has gotten less over the past six months.‘ Vex huffed.
‘Do you think she’s unhappy to return here, where we are?‘ it was the question he didn’t want to really ask, but what if bringing them back here to his pask was not what Freya wanted, but Belladonna was now considering it. She was so very kind and considerate, and he knew she would want her son, their son, to be happy. So was she in fact sacrificing her own wolf for the happiness of her own child?
She’d never put herself first, not once and with that disconnection she felt to everything, something she even felt from her own wolf. Would it concern her at all to lose her wolf if there was no real connection to her?
‘Don’t know, don’t understand Freya. Vex stated, ‘Can’t and if her own human can’t, no one can.’
Parker sighed heavily to himself and got up. He couldn’t figure it out. Belladonna was 36 now and still didn’t understand her own beast, so how was anyone else supposed to? Her own father had told him she was practically wolf–less, had such a weak beast that not even an Alpha Order had been able to bring her forward, which to him meant she didn’t truly have one.
Though he and Vex had felt her
wolf the day she’d walked into that man’s office, she hadn’t been wolf–less like everyone thought, just had a beast that belonged… his thought process stopped at the word belonged, and he thought about that, who did Freya belong too? He got up and walked off to find Belladonna to try and help answer that question that was now rolling around inside his mind.
She was easy to track even though not a pack member, because he knew what she smelled like, lemon zest and ginger and she had the Hollowed Moon pack scent attached to her, of a blanket flower it was more spicy than sweet and it suited her. She was outside watching Milly play in the shallow end of the pool designated for toddlers and was only knee–deep.
She looked up at him with a smile on her face, though he was certain that it was for her daughter and not him. When he stated her name, “Can I ask you a really strange question?” he asked.

“So, Freya is not your wolf at all!” he mused out loud. That could explain a lot about why she was disconnected from everything, including her own wolf. It was as simple as Freya didn’t belong to her, she belonged to Belladonna’s mother. “I have another odd question?”
“Go ahead. Likely not anything I haven’t asked Freya myself at one time or another.” She stated.
“The one that can call Freya out, I heard from Mala and Aston, is a woman… Do you think she is your mother?”
