Claimed by the Crown Heir novel Chapter 124

This place was a lawless hive. A beautiful woman walking alone was bound to run into trouble.

"Then why aren't you following her to see what's wrong?" Alistair's displeased voice came through the speaker.

"But Boss, I still have a drop to make."

"Make sure she's safe. Everything else can wait."

"Understood."

Quentin immediately sprinted in the direction Vanessa had disappeared.

Soon, Vanessa found Seraphina's phone buried under a pile of trash. The screen was shattered into a spiderweb of cracks.

Looking around, she saw no sign of her friend. Her heart sank heavily in her chest.

Did something happen to her?

"Ms. Grant, slow down. What's your friend's name? Maybe I can help," Quentin said, catching his breath as he caught up to her.

Vanessa furrowed her brow. "Seraphina Sloan. She called and told me she accidentally stumbled into a drug deal. I called the cops before I got here."

Quentin's casual demeanor instantly vanished. He grabbed her arm. "Then you definitely shouldn't be down here. Come back up with me. When the police arrive, they'll find her for you."

"By the time the cops get here, those guys will be long gone, and she'll be dead."

"Staying here won't change anything. I'll make a call and get someone to find her."

Ignoring her protests, Quentin forcefully dragged her out of the underground maze.

Furious, Vanessa punched him several times. He didn't even flinch, while her knuckles turned red from the impact.

Like master, like subordinate. They were both insufferable.

"You..." She couldn't remember his name.

"Ms. Grant, I'm Quentin Pierce."

"I don't care what your name is. Were you lying to me earlier?"
