Claiming their Omega (Suzi de Beer) novel Chapter 42

  1. DAISY

Fingertips were trailing down my spine.

I could feel Alex’s warm breath against the top of my hair. His chest rose and fell in deep, steady breaths that let me know that he was still asleep. It couldn’t be him touching me.

Through my sleepdazed mind, I figured that my other alphas had returned, but something felt off.

Wrong.

It was a struggle to open my eyes, but when I finally managed to pry my eyelids apart, I locked eyes with a man I had never seen before.

A scream rose in my throat but a gloved hand clamped down on my mouth before it could escape.

Smirking, he leaned closer. I’m going to make things easy for you, when I move my hand, you’re going to keep quiet. If you scream, I won’t hesitate to kill your alpha.

To show me that he was dead serious, he pulled a black knife from his boot and held it up for me to see.

He’s been drugged so there’s no use trying to wake him up.The man slowly pulled his hand away from my mouth. Here’s how this is going to go Daisy. You’re going to get up and get dressed and then you’re going to come with me willingly.

And if II don’t?I whispered.

His smirk widened. You won’t like what I do to you.

I swallowed, trying to fight the panic that was threatening to overwhelm me.

There was a stranger sitting a few inches from me while I was naked with my alpha’s cock still buried inside me.

My eyes locked on the knife he was busy playing with.

I’m going to count to three and then you’re going to move. Got it?

I gave him a single nod.

He stood, taking a few steps back, but he kept his eyes focused on me.

Swallowing, I slowly pushed myself up. The moment Alex’s cock slipped out of me, a trail of our combined cum rolled down my thighs. I tried my best to keep my back to the man as I stood on shaky legs and hurried to where I had dropped my clothes. It didn’t help that I could feel his eyes burning into my skin as I dressed.

Where are your shoes?

IIn my room.

You need them.

He nodded towards the hall. I hesitated a moment before I started making my way towards my room. He was right behind me, giving me no opportunity to make a run for the nest or to find anything I could use as a weapon.

Good. Let’s go,he ordered the moment I had my shoes on.

WWhere are we going?I asked him.

You ask too many questions,he growled.

I glanced at Alex when we entered the living room again. The kitchen was right there, the knife I had been using to cut the bread was still on the island.

With one look at the man to make sure he wasn’t close enough to stop me, I ran into the kitchen and grabbed the knife. Spinning around, I held it out in front of me.

Get out,I ordered him. I’ll kill you.

Tilting his head to the side, he silently studied me.

I was shaking and struggling to suck air into my lungs. The knife was unsteady in my hand and I knew that he was busy taking note of it.

I’ll call the police.

The whole police force is eating out of the palm of your stepdaddy’s hands. Call him and he gets exactly what he wants.

I frowned at him.

Alex stirred, catching my attention.

It was a mistake to look away from the man.

He was on me before I could blink. The knife was ripped from my hand and pressed to my neck as he pushed me against the wall.

His lips were pulled into a sneer as he stared down at me. The man was tall and a lot stronger than me. There was no way for me to fight him. I’d only get myself killed.

I wanted to do this the easy way Daisy,he growled. You’re making me do this.

Do what? I wanted to ask him, but the sight of the syringe in his hand made the words die down.

Pulling the cap off with his teeth, he hesitated a moment before he pushed the needle into my arm and injected me with the pink liquid.

I admire your courage omega,he said softly. But you need to learn to fight when it’s the right time.

His image got blurry and before I knew it, my body slumped against his as the room faded into darkness.

I moaned, turning my head into the pillow as the sleep slowly faded. My head was pounding. It took a few seconds for me to remember exactly what had happened.

I jerked upright and instantly regretted it when the room spun. My stomach twisted with nausea and for a moment I feared that I was going to puke.

Thankfully, my stomach settled once the room stopped spinning.

Pressing a hand to my forehead, I looked around the room. It was small but cozy. The bed was pushed against the wall across from a small window that was covered with a thick black curtain.

Aside from a closet in the corner, and the bed, there was no other furniture.

I moved and then froze.

There was a pink handcuff around my wrist. The other end was attached to the headboard of the bed.

I’m handcuffed to the bed.

Just breathe,Elias’s voice echoed in my head.

He always made everything sound so easy. How was I supposed to just breathe when I had been kidnapped, drugged, and was now handcuffed to a bed in a stranger’s house?

Had he killed Alex because I didn’t listen to him?

There was a soft click before the door was pushed open and the man who took me entered. He paused as his eyes darted over me. Whatever he saw made his lips curl up into a small smile.

I got you some painkillers for your headache and some water. I can get you something to eat if you’re hungry.

Nno thank you,I croaked.

Figured you wouldn’t be hungry.

He dropped the water onto the bed along with the packet of pills. Taking a few steps away, he leaned back against the door and crossed his arms over his chest.

As thirsty as I was, I didn’t reach for the water.

How are you feeling?

I glared at him. You drugged me and kidnapped me. How do you think I feel?

A sigh fell from his lips. My name is Derek Lennox,he said softly.

I frowned. His last name sounded familiar. Where had I heard it before?

I believe you’ve met my brother Aiden a few times while he was still working with your John.

He said that you wanted to help us,I whispered. It was all lies, wasn’t it? You just wanted to get us to trust you, didn’t you? What did you do to my alphas?

Derek’s lips curled up into a smile. Your alphas, huh? I don’t see any bond marks and as far as I’m aware, you don’t want to be their omega so I don’t see how you can call them your alphas.

Colour flooded my cheeks. I didn’t know how he knew it, but he was right.

Wwhat do you want?I demanded.

Nothing from you except your compliance. You do as I say and you’ll see your alphas in no time.

Derek straightened and took a seat on the bed next to me.

Let’s get things straight, Daisy. I’ll unlock the cuffs. You’ll be free to move around the cabin, but you will not step foot outside. His eyes narrowed. I’m doing this for your own safety.

I don’t know you,I told him. You kidnapped me and now you’re telling me that it’s for my own safety? I don’t trust you.

You don’t have to. You just need to follow the rules.

And if I don’t?

Derek pulled a small key from his pocket and unlocked the cuff around my wrist. He let it dangle from his finger for a few seconds before he let

  1. go.

“Don’t test me omega,he said softly.

With that as his parting words, he stood and walked out of the room. The door clicked closed softly behind him, but I didn’t move.

I rubbed my wrist as I stared down at the water and pills he left me. The pills were still sealed in the packet with the name written on it, and the bottle still looked sealed. If I wanted to get out of here, I needed to be at my best. I couldn’t take the risk of him drugging me again.

But I didn’t know what to do.

I had no clue where we were or if he was telling the truth. They could all be working against us. I didn’t know what we were going to do if that was the case. All Alex told me was that Aiden knew who my stalker was and that he wanted to work with us to catch him.

Scooting to the edge of the bed, I carefully stood. Aside from a little shakiness, I felt okay.

My eyes darted around the room again, searching but not finding anything different from what I saw the first time.

There had to be something I could use as a weapon. But not yet. I wasn’t going to make the same mistake I had made when I was six. Once I had something to use as a weapon, I would hide it and buy my time until I could use

  1. it.
