They’d spent six years together, and he was her so-called “first love.” Even though it turned out to be a hoax, could six years of shared moments really be wiped away that easily? I got that emotions didn’t just disappear overnight. The mere thought of Natalie still having remnants of that past in her heart made my chest tighten with an unfamiliar, acidic pang. The Alpha’s possessiveness within me roared silently.
Natalie was dead tired. Snuggled up against me during the movie, she conked out in less than half an hour. Despite the horror on the screen, she slept like a baby, her hand clutching my arm so tightly. I carried her to bed, but she wouldn’t let go.
The bedroom was bathed in darkness, save for the cool moonlight streaming through the window, highlighting half of her face. Natalie looked like a divine being, half an angel in the moonlight, half a seductress in the shadows. I stared at her peaceful face, my fingers gently grazing her smooth forehead, her sharp nose, and finally coming to rest on her plush lips, feeling her warm breath.
“Natalie,” I whispered softly. She wrinkled her nose and let out a little “hmm,” as if she’d heard me.
I smiled faintly, half-talking to her, half-reminding myself, “From now on, it’s just me in your heart… No room for anyone else.”
Natalie’s POV:
I slept in the next day. Usually, the bright sunlight in my room would wake me up sharp. But Leonardo had pulled the curtains shut last night, so I woke up over two hours later than normal. I figured he’d still be around, but when I stepped out of my room, he was gone.
I’d fixed up the guest room for him, but it was as neat as a pin. He must’ve left in the dead of night.
A little pang of disappointment hit me. The first thing I thought of when I opened my eyes was having breakfast with him.
But let’s be real. A guy like him? He didn’t have the time to have breakfast with me every day.
Just then, my phone buzzed. It was a message from Leonardo, “Up yet? Breakfast is outside your door. Grab it.”
I dashed to the door. There sat a sleek black thermos. Inside were all kinds of fancy pastries, hot milk, and drinks, all in his family’s fancy insulated food containers. It looked like his family’s chef had whipped it up just for me.
My heart fluttered with warmth as I texted back, “Got it. Thanks. Have you eaten?”
There were a million other questions I wanted to ask, like why he left in the middle of the night and how busy he was. But I deleted them all and just sent that one.
Leonardo shot back a quick reply, “Yeah, I ate. I’m swamped right now. Talk later.”
I deleted the long message I’d typed and just sent an “Okay” with a smiley face emoji.

Chapter 115 Sweet Gesture
I put my phone down and dug into this sweet gesture from Leonardo.

I set my phone down and turned to the uninvited guest in my office. The softness that had been in my eyes while texting Natalie vanished in a flash.
“Ms. Thompson, Silver-Maned Pack has rules. No unannounced visits to my office. If it happens again, I’ll rethink all our business with the Thompson family.” My voice was as cold as ice. I leaned back in my chair, not even bothering to look at her.
Victoria’s eyes welled up. Aaron and a couple of bodyguards stood nearby, looking awkward. The Thompson and Sanchez families were working on a project together, and Victoria had access to the pack. Usually, I’d let her little slip-ups slide because of our families’ history. But this time, she’d gone too far.
