The report was detailed, outlining Landon and Aaliyah’s situation plainly. Though it used pseudonyms, keywords like “the Richardson Group,” “Omega returned from a prestigious university,” and “adopted pure-blood pup” were enough for anyone in our circles to understand.

More damning were the photos. Even with their eyes pixelated, the silhouettes, the aura, the backgrounds of places they frequented-anyone familiar would recognize them instantly.

The news had broken a few hours earlier, pushed simultaneously by several major outlets. It was now exploding across Maritime City’s werewolf social networks and starting to leak into human online spaces.

“I assume you haven’t seen the news yet.” My voice cut through the dead silence of the boardroom. “At a time like this, I advise everyone to prioritize their own interests and the pack’s reputation. If the Richardson Group’s credibility collapses over a scandal like this, faces a joint boycott from other packs, and loses its resource channels, who stands to lose the most? Your assets and your family’s good name.”

“Natalie! You treacherous woman! You venomous witch!” Benjamin saw the news and nearly choked on his fury, his eyes bulging. The dignity and the Richardson family’s honor he clung to were being publicly shredded.

Landon’s face was deathly pale. He stared at me, his eyes filled with the pain and disbelief of utter betrayal. “Natalie, you said if I gave you the shares, you wouldn’t…” He was still stuck in the mindset from that night I threatened him with the scandal, thinking it was just leverage for the shares.

“Landon,” I cut him off, my voice icy. “You deceived me for years. You trampled on the Moon Goddess’ vow. You did every shameful thing imaginable. What good faith do I owe you? Besides, I never promised that getting the shares meant I’d let you off the hook.” Turning the other cheek? That was for saints, not for a wolf who crawled back from hell to collect a debt.

Landon looked as if he’d been slapped. He staggered slightly. “Natalie! You used a dirty trick!”

I ignored him, locking eyes with the two ashen-aced shareholders. “The Richardson Group’s reputation is crumbling by the second. If you insist on standing by these two, you know better than I what comes next.”

Silence fell over the room.

One shareholder took a sharp, deep breath, as if mustering all his strength. Avoiding Benjamin’s murderous glare, he said hoarsely, “I support Ms. Anderson’s proposal. To

immediately remove Landon from his role as President and Benjamin from his role as Chairman! The Richardson Group can’t be dragged down by them any longer!”

The other shareholder followed quickly, urgency in his tone. “I agree as well! Please enact the measures immediately, Ms. Anderson. Save the company!”

“You traitors! You ungrateful wretches!” Benjamin pointed a shaking finger at them, trembling with rage. He broke into a fit of violent coughing before he could finish, his face flushing, then turning pale, collapsing backward

Landon hurried to catch him, his own expression bleak. He looked at me, emotions warring in his eyes-hatred, pain, and perhaps a lingering, unwilling trace of attachment. “Natalie, after all our years together, must you be so heartless? Will this revenge really make you happy?”

“Landon…” Benjamin leaned against Landon, his voice weak but dripping with venom. “See the woman you protected. This is how she repays you. See how cunning and how cruel she is!”

I offered no further reply. Alert executives had already summoned werewolf security from the company’s internal team. The guards moved in, respectful but firm, making a “please leave” gesture to Benjamin and Landon. “Mr. Landon Richardson, Mr. Benjamin Richardson, please leave the boardroom. Otherwise, we’ll have to notify the Richardson Group peacekeepers.”

“Get away from me!” Benjamin used his last strength to shove a guard aside, shaking off Landon’s support. Trembling, he forced his spine straight and walked out on his own.

Landon’s POV:

My father had dominated the werewolf world his whole life. He valued the Richardson Group’s glory more than his own life. This humiliation now was probably worse than death for him.

I felt drained of all strength.

I looked at Natalie. I should have hated her. But I could think of were our past moments together, and my heart ached terribly.

How could she cut ties so completely?

When we were together, she promised she’d stand by me to the end, no matter what.

But no matter how I looked at her, she didn’t spare me another glance.

We were escorted out of the company building. My father collapsed just outside. I rushed to
