“Of course we’ll bless you, honey,” Xenia said gently. “But marriage is a huge deal. Your dad and I need to meet Julian’s parents first, and then we can discuss the wedding details together.”
Mark cut in quickly. “Exactly! Marriage isn’t something to rush. We need to hold a big wedding. If we start preparing now, we’ll still need at least a year to get everything ready!”
Quinn replied, “We can talk about the wedding later. I want to get our marriage license first.”
Mark grew even more anxious. “Quinn, you need to think carefully about getting the license too. When you marry someone, you’re not just joining two people-you’re joining two families. You haven’t even met all our relatives yet. Your mom and I have a lot of things that belong to you, and we’ll need to sign a prenuptial agreement later…”
Quinn hadn’t thought about that at all. “Dad, I don’t need any of those things…”
“That’s not how it works,” Xenia said firmly. “Everything your dad and I have is yours.”
Mark nodded in agreement. “And Julian has so many assets-he’ll definitely need a prenuptial agreement
too.”
Quinn glanced at Julian. He couldn’t hear the other side of the call, but he kept his eyes fixed on her the whole time.
Quinn had to end the call first. “I’ll sort this out first. Goodbye, Mom and Dad.”
After hanging up, she turned to Julian. “If we get married, do we need to sign a prenuptial agreement?”
“What agreement?” Julian asked, confused. “No, we don’t need one.”
“I think we do,” Quinn said. “Aren’t you worried I’ll take half your assets if we split up later?”
“Split up?” Julian took her hand again, his voice serious. “If we get married, I’ll never let you leave me. Why would we split up?”
“That’s not what I meant…”
୮
“Then it’s settled,” Julian said. “You told them-once you’re discharged, we’ll go get the license.”
“What about your parents?”
“I’ll tell them,” Julian assured her.
Quinn never thought that a car accident would change her life so much-by the time she left the hospital she would be a married woman. But she had no more doubts about marrying Julian. She had met his parents before, and it was clear they loved her. Besides, Julian was so kind to her, and she truly wanted to spend the rest of her life with him.
Meanwhile, at the hotel, Mark paced back and forth in the room.
Xenia smiled and said, “Calm down, honey. Stop pacing.”

Chapter 429 The Culprit Uncovered
Finished.
Seeing her smile made Mark feel a little better. It had been years since he’d seen her smile so happily.
“Aren’t you going to talk her out of it?” Mark asked. “How can she get married so easily? We just found her, and she’s already going to move out? Can you bear to let her go?”
“Even after marriage, she can live with us Xenia said. “We can all stay together then.”
“Will they move to Voss City? Or should we move to Lakeshore City?”
“Either way is fine with me,” Xenia said. “Are you okay with that, honey?”
Of course Mark was okay with it. He just didn’t want Quinn to get married so soon.
He was about to say something when his phone rang. Glancing at the caller ID, he said to Xenia, “It’s work. You rest first, I’ll take this call.”
He walked out of the bedroom and into the study before answering.
After listening to the caller, his face turned dark with anger. He ordered his men to tell Troy’s family that Faye’s two brothers were fired from their jobs at his company-they had no connection with him
anymore.
He also planned to take back everything he’d given them: the house they lived in, their investment products, and the shares in several small companies.
Troy was devastated. They were used to living a lavish life. Taking all these things away would ruin them.
Then Mark told his men to pass a message to Troy’s family of four-five, before Faye was arrested. If they wanted to live a miserable life, he would let them. But if they wanted to keep their old lifestyle, there was only one way: tell the truth about what happened over twenty years ago.
He would only punish the culprit, not the innocent.
At first, they refused to admit anything. But as they watched Mark take away all their assets-he had the power and means to do it-Faye’s two brothers couldn’t stand it anymore. They turned on their mother and told everything.
Yes, Faye’s mother was the one who had hired someone to take the baby. She had secretly heard Mark and Xenia talking, and learned that Mark loved Xenia so much he wouldn’t let her have more children.
A evil thought grew in her mind: if Mark had no children of his own, would all his assets go to her own kids?
Once that evil seed sprouted, it could never be stopped. That’s what led to the terrible incident all those years ago.
