Chapter 432 A Failed Scheme
Finched
But Julian disliked them. Every time he thought about the life Quinn used to live, his heart ached. He had no good feelings for Rosalie and her family at all.
“I’ll go with you,” he said firmly.
Quinn hesitated, “No need…”
“I’m going with you,” Julian repeated, his mind made up. “I’m heading home right now.”
“Finish your work first. I set the meeting for tomorrow,” Quinn said gently
“All right,” Julian agreed. “I planned to go home to stay with you anyway.”
“You can stay with me, but… don’t do anything else,” Quinn warned, her voice soft.
Julian smiled teasingly, “What ‘anything else’ are you talking about?”
Quinn hung up the phone in anger. Julian is such a beast! Hmph!
Quinn lay in bed for a while. Her body still felt sore and achy somewhere. She vaguely remembered that before Julian left that morning, he had put medicine on her. She wanted to cry-she felt like she had no dignity left.
Embarrassed and annoyed, Quinn got up to wash up. She walked out of the bedroom, ate a little food, then called Rosalie.
Rosalie answered almost immediately, her voice excited, “Quinn? You finally contacted me!”
Quinn asked flatly, “Didn’t your family leave Lakeshore City? Why are you back now?”
They had left before because Rosalie’s reputation was ruined. Elaine felt too ashamed to stay at the university. She was old enough to retire, so she quit her job and moved to another city.
As a retired university professor, the three of them could live well anywhere. She cared most about her
r reputation, but Rosalie had made her lose all face. Back then, she didn’t even have the energy to care whether Quinn was alive or not.
But Rosalie couldn’t let it go. All her suitors had seen her true colors and stopped fawning over her. Her living standard dropped sharply, and ordinary life could no longer satisfy her.
The new city wasn’t as developed as Lakeshore City, but there were still rich people there. However, nothing went right for Rosalie lately. She finally met a man, only to find out he was married. When they were eating in a restaurant, his wife showed up, called her a homewrecker to her face, and splashed red wine all over her. Rosalie had never been so humiliated. She felt wronged but couldn’t tell anyone about it.
Just then, she saw a message in an old group chat saying Quinn had found her birth parents. Her birth parents were actually the Jinns from Voss City! Mark, the man who was as rich as a king and doted on his wife more than anything, was her biological father! The couple hadn’t had any other children all these years-they’d been looking for Quinn the whole time.

Chapter 432 Failed Scheme
Rosalie was consumed with jealousy when she saw the news. Why is Quinn so lucky?
Fimshed
Not long after, Julian’s company’s official social media account posted an announcement that he and Quinn had registered their marriage. Rosalie was seething with fury.
Did Julian really marry Quinn? Well, now that Quinn is Mark’s only daughter, they are a good match in status.
Elaine was also heartbroken when she heard the news.
Has Quinn really climbed the social ladder so quickly? How could she…
Thinking about her own hard life and her daughter’s unmarried status, Elaine was filled with jealousy.
But soon, she had an idea. Quinn was now a person of high status. After all, she was Quinn’s adoptive mother-Mark and his wife should be grateful to her. Besides, if they could connect with the Jinn family, Rosalie could also use that connection to find a good husband.
With that thought, she immediately told Rosalie to find a way to contact Quinn. The whole family even moved back to Lakeshore City. They firmly believed that the kindness of raising a child outweighed blood ties. As long as Quinn admitted they had raised her, she had to be grateful to them. If she treated them too badly, public criticism would crush her. Elaine thought she had a perfect plan.
But she didn’t expect Julian to go with Quinn to the meeting. She was sure she could control Quinn, but Julian… How dared she stand up to him? He was a big shot, a man at the top of the pyramid, who dominated the business world. She was no match for him at all.
