Chapter 430 Please Say Yes to Me
How dared they do such terrible things?
Fished
Mark never told Xenia the whole truth about the scheme. Now that their daughter was back safe, he saw no need to sadden her with these cruel past events.
He called his trusted friend right away and decided to settle everything through official legal channels. Those ungrateful relatives had lived off his wealth for years, yet they still plotted to hurt his daughter. He meant to make them taste endless regret and suffering. As for Faye, with such a vicious heart at a young age, she deserved to spend the rest of her days behind bars.
Mark headed back to their hotel bedroom and found Xenia scrolling on her phone.
“What are you looking at?” he leaned closer to ask.
They shared complete trust and had no secrets between them, free to check each other’s phones anytime.
Xenia showed him her chat screen. “I asked my friends to pick out wedding gown designs for Quinn, and sort out other wedding arrangements too.”
Mark felt heavy-hearted. “Are you really in such a hurry to send our daughter off to marry someone?”
He was simply reluctant. He had only just reunited with Quinn, and longed to spend plenty of warm family time with her.
“But this is what our daughter truly wants,” Xenia reasoned softly. “Could you bear to see her upset?”
Of course he could not. He sat down beside her and began giving his opinions. “This style looks nice, but that one is too revealing, it won’t do.”
“I know what suits her best,” Xenia smiled.
The two leaned close together, browsing various wedding dress designs for their daughter.
On Quinn’s third day in hospital, the doctor confirmed she was well enough to leave. There was more good news. The injured driver and bodyguard had pulled through safely and were moved to regular wards
to recover.
Lucy and Zoe both came to pick Quinn up on her discharge day.
“Jess is away on a business trip, otherwise he would have come too,” Lucy said. “Adele has been wondering why you haven’t visited lately. She’s even called me out of worry, fearing you’ve run into trouble and kept it hidden.”
“I’ll go see her right after I get out of hospital,” Quinn replied.
“I’ll go with you,” Lucy offered at once.
Julian stepped into the ward after finishing a phone call. “Take it easy and rest fully after leaving hospital Don’t push yourself too hard.”

Finished
“I’m just going to visit Adele. It won’t tire me out at all,” Quinn said. “I’ve already recovered completely.”
Lucy also chimed in to persuade hitn, “Adele misses Quinn so much. Please let us go visit.”
Zoe stayed quiet beside them, too timid to speak up, still feeling nervous in front of Julian.
Julian glanced at Quinn and finally nodded his agreement.
Before they left the hospital, Julian made one more call. The trip to the old alley would take roughly half an hour without traffic jams, yet it took nearly an hour for their group to arrive.
Quinn stepped out of the car, and Julian held her hand as they walked into the alleyway. She suddenly froze in her tracks.
It was right here that she had first met Julian when she turned eighteen. Heavy rain had blurred her vision back then, so she had never gotten a clear look at his face. Years had passed, and most parts of the alley had changed greatly.
Yet standing here today, countless emotions surged through her heart-confusion, soft fondness and warm gratitude all tangled together. She turned swiftly to look at Julian, who was also gazing gently down at her.
He kept holding her hand, walking slowly forward until they reached the exact spot where they had first crossed paths. This was where young Quinn had fallen down and wept bitterly all those years ago. Now tears welled up in her eyes once more.
She soon spotted Adele, her birth parents, and even Julian’s parents standing not far away. Julian had fully renovated the whole alley, restoring it to look just like it had been years ago. Fresh blooming flowers lined both sides of the narrow path, adding warm romance to the place.
Lucy and Zoe followed quietly behind the couple. Right in front of all their elders and close friends, Julian dropped down on one knee. He took out a one-of-a-kind custom ring and looked up steadily at Quinn.
“This is where we first met,” he said in a sincere tone.
“We have gone through countless hardships and twists together, and now we finally get to stay side by side. “I wish to stay with you every single day and night for the rest of our lives.

“I originally planned to decorate this place perfectly and propose to you properly in a few days.
“But I cannot wait any longer.
“Quinn, will you marry me?
“I’m asking you in front of all our family and friends today.
“Marry me, I will cherish you wholeheartedly and protect you with everything I have.
