Divorce Him, Then Dazzle novel Chapter 176

“I know, but right now…”

“I contacted the university administration, and they said they can help me apply for a dorm room early,” Camilla said. “I’ll come visit you often.”

Camilla tried to console her for a long time, but Catheleen remained gloomy.

But Camilla’s mind was made up. She went back and started packing her things.

In truth, she didn’t have much—just the one suitcase she had arrived with.

Catheleen stood at the bedroom door, her face a mask of unhappiness.

After she finished packing, Camilla went to comfort her. “I promise, if you’re free on the weekend, I’ll come and spend time with you, okay?”

“No, it’s not okay.” Catheleen hugged her. “Cammie, are you mad at me?”

“Why would I be mad at you?”

“Because of Lambert…”

Camilla shook her head. “No, this has nothing to do with Lambert.”

“Really?”

“Really.”

Despite her words, Catheleen still sent Lambert a message.

She wrote: [Lambert, Cammie is moving out. She’s not living with me anymore.]

She followed it with a crying emoji.

When Lambert received the message, he stared at the words for a long time.

He understood what Camilla meant. He saw her determination.

She didn’t want any contact with him, to the point of even distancing herself from Catheleen.

He pinched the bridge of his nose, closed his eyes, and sighed.

He had never encountered a situation that felt so difficult to handle.

Only Camilla.

He wasn't sure what kind of attitude to adopt with her now.

She wasn’t divorced yet. He had to maintain a proper distance, to be careful not to cross a line.

But even so, before he could even get close, Camilla was already scrambling to get as far away as possible.

She was so smart; she couldn’t have missed that he felt something special for her.

Faust loved to have fun and organize get-togethers. After arriving, he called over a few people to plan a New Year’s Eve party.

Lambert suddenly spoke up. “When the time comes, invite Catheleen.”

“Catheleen?” Faust said. “No problem. The more, the merrier.”

Once everything was arranged, Faust sat down beside him. “How’s it going? Am I allowed to ask?”

Lambert shot him a look.

Faust immediately surrendered. “Alright, alright, I won’t ask. Is that okay?”

Lambert swirled the glass in his hand.

The ice cubes danced in the amber liquid, shimmering beautifully under the light.

He spoke. “There’s no progress.”

“I know,” Faust said. “You’re worried about her reputation. You won’t do anything until she’s divorced.”

“No,” Lambert said. “It has nothing to do with her divorce. She… doesn’t like me.”

Faust was dumbfounded. It took him a few seconds to process the sentence. “She… doesn’t like you? How can you be so sure?”
