"Cammie, I'm back!"

Catheleen stepped inside, a faint, tipsy flush painting her cheeks after a night out with friends.

"You didn't drink too much, did you?" Camilla asked, eyeing her.

"Nope." Catheleen giggled, kicking off her shoes and carelessly throwing herself onto the small sofa near the bed. "Cammie, look what I've got."

"What is it?"

Catheleen threw her arm up, the oversized sleeve of her sweater sliding down to expose her slender wrist.

Wrapped around it was a breathtakingly brilliant diamond bracelet.

"Gorgeous, right?" Catheleen thrust her hand closer. "Look!"

"It's stunning," Camilla praised genuinely. "The setting is brilliant, and it looks incredibly elegant on you."

"My brother had someone deliver it to me," Catheleen said, beaming with pride. "Remember when we went to look at his private jewelry vault and I pointed out a bracelet I loved?"

Camilla nodded. "I remember."

"I mentioned I liked one, but all the pieces in my brother's collection are incredibly valuable. It's not just the raw cost—most of them are discontinued vintage pieces you literally can't buy anymore. So, he had his team track down this one internationally as a holiday gift for me. It got held up in customs and only arrived today."

Camilla smiled warmly. "It really is beautiful."

"I know, I absolutely adore it." Catheleen sighed happily. "Honestly, the fact that he went out of his way to do this for me has me a little stunned. Anyway, Cammie, I came to ask for your advice. The New Year is coming up. What on earth should I buy him in return?"

"Just get him something tailored to his interests," Camilla suggested lightly. "Whatever he likes, get him that."
